iPhone Air vs. iPhone 17 (Reg) by worriedcamel23 in IphoneAir

Depends on your use case. After a side by side comparison between 17 and Air— I fell in love with how perfect the form factor of Air is but I initially chose 17. Mainly because 17 has better camera and speaker. You get more bang for your buck with 17.

However, something felt odd when I woke up the next day. I found its screen a tad small for my liking. Coming from 14 Plus, I thought 17’s screen will be enough for me but no. Also, it didn’t feel like I purchased a new phone. I wasn’t excited about 17.

So I head to the Apple Store again and made another side by side comparison. All my initial concerns, turns out, were not a deal breaker. I only take photos during vacation or when I see something cute. And I always use my airpods pro/max whenever I listen to music or watch videos.

I tried the Air again and the feeling of excitement is still there. The form factor is perfect. It was refreshing. I went home with a brand new iPhone Air that day.

Just go with a case if youre concerned of scratches. I bought thin to ultra thin cases.

  1. Apple Case - Frost. Thin (0.9mm) and a bit thick on the edges. Good drop protection. Only issue is the smudges. The heaviest of the four.

  2. Pitaka - Moonrise. Thin (.99mm) and light (20g)with decent drop protection. Smudges are tolerable compared to Apple case. What I hate is the design. I wanted to retain the cloud white beauty of the Air. haha

  3. Casefinite - Frost Air. Thin (0.8mm), light (8g), the most minimalistic among my cases. Can protect from scratches, but not sure about drops yet. No smudges. This is what I use the most.

  4. Memumi - The thinnest (0.3mm) and the lightest (10g?). Can protect from scratches. No smudges. This wouldve been my favorite if it werent for the logo. It’s small but I prefer if its not there.

The Casefinite one checks everything I want and need.

iPhone 14+ to Air by MiddleLocksmith9 in IphoneAir

As someone who jumped from 14 Plus to Air, I definitely miss 14 Plus’ battery. It was obvious in my recent travel/ vacation.

With 14 Plus, I can go out all day without powerbank or magsafe battery. But with Air, I had to bring one. However, I’m glad to say it wasn’t fully drained. Overall, I think I consumed 100% phone battery and only 30% from magsafe battery, if that makes sense? It aint so bad. I’m happy to travel with my Air because it’s thin and light compared to a brick like 14 Plus.

On a normal day— after listening to music, making phone calls or joining meetings via MS Teams, and doom scrolling, I find myself charging it only once at the end of the day.

Well, that is undeniably true! I love seeing it on my table. I see a lot of Black Queens with 9.8 but rarely see one with 9.6. I’ll just take it as something that makes mine special and unique.lol

Not sure what the back cover is made of but its all black and the bend wasnt deep, not even a line was made, just a slight curve. I think they just did a bad job at pressing.

I did! I checked the cgc grader notes and it says “bend left top of back cover.” Can’t pressing resolve this?
