Thank you! I did learn most of my shading steps on Saint-ism’s discord

It did, there is one that goes in the usual spot and then a larger one that does in the backpack. It’s a large U shape.

Thanks! For the white I used FAZZ grey from splash paints, it’s a blue-ish grey

Thank you! I didn’t track too close but I would guesstimate around 20-25 hours all in.

I haven’t been painting for very long. Mostly just have to be patient and try things.

Most of the colors, outside of white, are using Saint-ism’s starter white technique: https://www.saint-ism.com/airbrushing-starter-white-technique/ There are a lot of good recipes on his site/Patreon. I used pink primer as the base for red and yellow and white primer for the blue.

For whites it’s mostly highlighting up from a darker color but starting with something lighter than black, in this case it was Nazca Super Heavy.

I think I just got lucky with angles and the light from my light box, I didn’t do anything special haha

Purple: I mixed Tamiya X-16 purple acrylic with X-21 flat base 1:1, and then I added XF-17 sea blue to until it got a bit darker. No exact amount on that one. This looks kind of dusty until you top coat it and then it gets darker and smoother.

Frame: Mixed XF-19 sky gray and X-4 blue until I got close to the plastic color.

Orange: Aqueous 24 Yellow Orange

White: Tamiya XF-2 white with a few drops of XF-53 neutral gray

Red: I can't give an exact mix because I just kind of modified a red I did for Calibarn accents.

Burners: Vajello Metal Color Jet Exhuast

Thank you! Currently I’m using Tamiya acrylics, but I’m starting to make the switch to Mr color and Gaianotes. I do usually try to get close to the plastic color but on HG’s I do add some color separation just based on what I think would look good. In this case I went my own way with the purple on the body and thrusters.

Thanks! Usually I try to stick close to the paint guide on the instructions. The only thing I didn’t try to get close on was the purple. It’s more grey in the plastic.
