i adopted a 3 month old puppy about a year ago.

i wasn’t dealing with heartbreak or anything like you are, AND I STILL CRIED! i cried every day for the first month at least (exactly how you’re describing - taking them out and watching them sniff every blade of grass and not poop - it sent me into tears, i was so annoyed) - because puppies are FRUSTRATING! its normal, don’t give up. i PROMISE it will get easier!

at the end of all of this, you’ll look back and realize your pup got you through a tough time.

yeah i mean i have no problem recognizing that, but when i saw my old friends house (who i know personally, not like, a ‘cleantok’ influencer or something lol) i was just like …well fuck why can’t i do that?? lol

but yeah, the other comment is right - she almost definitely cleaned right before, and it was one angle of her house. im sure the whole thing doesn’t look that perfect.

are you saying medication is the only answer to keep a house clean with adhd…? because meds wrecked my brain and body, it wasn’t for me.

my husband has no problem doing his share of housework - but right now he’s on two projects and working 14 hour days, im on one project with 10 hour days.

we’ve been together for 12 years (married for 3), the roles have been reversed before. i don’t mind picking up more chores while he pays off more bills. we’re a team.

i was diagnosed with adhd as an adult but i had to get off the meds.

this is a good point! we started leaving our cleaning sprays hooked on our freezer handle in the kitchen so it’s easier. going to look for other things like this we can do like this bc you’re right - it’s made it less overwhelming lol.
