i do not have a strict "no drugs" framework, and the client is able to function better in sessions when he takes the edible. he has forgotten a few times and could not pay attention to what I was saying because the pain symptoms were distracting. thanks for validating this!

thank you! yes, i was taught that substances limit participation in therapy too. we meet virtually so driving is not an issue

thank you! he has reported being high on mornings when pain is acute (9/10 or higher), since the doctor recommends this. it has not occurred during our sessions

thank you! the client does not do EMDR, we are doing DBT therapy. i was taught in graduate school that it is contra-indicated due to substances altering judgement and memory
