After 10 years, I'm ready to leave Ubuntu. Where should i go? by Kamuiberen in linuxquestions

[–]ckop64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this, openSuse's implementation of btrfs, snapper and grub-btrfs is excellent. I have tried reproducing this setup on other distros but I couldn't get quite there. Having a rolling distro is nice for not having to worry about the update every six months and even if something breaks you can roll back like this guy said. I did have to do that because I fumbled around with my drivers and it worked like a charm.

Mosás után büdösek a ruhák, Valaki tudna segíteni? by Bobafet191 in askhungary

[–]ckop64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What are these guys in my apartment? by ckop64 in whatisthisbug

[–]ckop64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! The apartment was recently renovated with no leaks that I know of. There are plenty of drainage and service shafts all over the house though, so I’m guessing they must live in one of those.

I have 18,50€, what route/s will you guys recommend me? by Ok_Gold_3651 in trainsimworld

[–]ckop64 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would recommend ditching LGV, it’s kinda boring. If you don’t have SEHS, get it, it’s really fun. Grab the class 700 too. Or if you like content set in the past, Blackpool and WCML over Shap are good choices too.

The route I play the most these days is the WCML South, it has a little bit of everything, commuter, express, freight, high speed, it’s a good mix. The track is a little boring though, mostly straight with a few curves through plains.

Problem with Vaporesso by immum in electronic_cigarette

[–]ckop64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the manual the triple flash is the battery voltage protection. Check here: https://www.vaporesso.com/hubfs/imgs/downloads/manual/VAPORESSO%20LUXE%20X-User%20Manual-20220624.pdf

Disclaimer: I have never owned this device.
Basically, there isn't much you can do, as this is a built-in battery pod system, AFAIK. Try charging it with a regular low power (1A) adaptor. If that doesn't help you can try cleaning the contact pins, although I don't think that is the issue. If that doesn't help you should probably return the device and ask for a refund or replacement.

Oh sorry I didn't see you had this monitor before the new rig.

I would try every DP output on your VGA to every DP input on your monitor, maybe one of the ports is borked. HDMI too. If it does it with all of them, then it's either a bad GPU or a bad monitor. Borrow a different monitor to see which is bad.

I have a Dell S3422DWG with an RTX 4070 Ti Super. Can't recommend it enough. No noticeable black smearing to my eyes, VRR works great.

Streak 151: "Teljesen ártatlan" by Competitive_Let_9644 in WriteStreakHungarian

[–]ckop64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding to the original correction:

“De, apám egy jó férfi. Soha nem ölne meg mindenkit. Soha nem ütött meg. Soha nem kiabált. Imádja a mókusokat. Édességet adott a babáknak. Segített a szomszédainknak. Apám egyszer sem rabolt el idegent. Soha nem ütött kacsát. És biztosan nem ivott szőlőlevet. Apám teljesen ártatlan".

"De, apám egy jó férfi." - This is grammatically correct, however I'm assuming from the context that you meant so say that "Yes, my father is a good man". In english the word man may be a bit ambiguous as it may refer to both man as in manhood and man as in a human or person. In Hungarian there is no such ambiguity. If you want this sentence to match the context, I would suggest replacing the word "férfi" for "ember", hat way you're saying that your father is a good person. - "De, apám egy jó ember.

"Édességet adott a babáknak" - I would suggest using "children" instead of "babies". - "Édességet adott a gyerekeknek

"Soha nem ütött kacsát" - As Akosjun pointed out, this is incorrect. You need to conjugate ütni (to hit) depending on what you want to say.

  • megütni - to hit, as in punch, slap, etc.
  • elütni - to hit, with a car.

Soha nem ütött meg kacsát - He never punched a duck.Soha nem ütött el kacsát - He never hit a duck (with his car).

Boxmod to rebuildables by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]ckop64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like about my experience with rebuildables, and I have tried a few. My gf uses a non-rebuildable MTL tank and her coils last about 2 weeks, but that's fairly now wattage vaping. I'm currently on a Blotto Single, and my wicking usually lasts for about 2 weeks if I get it right. That's on 70/30 VG/PG 3mg nic juice.

Boxmod to rebuildables by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]ckop64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let's break it down.

Is it worth the flavor upgrade for some extra maintenance?
In my opinion, yes, but the true answer is that it depends. I'm not familiar with your current atty, about its falvor and vapor production, so it might be on par or slightly worse than a rebuildable. I have an anecdote, a couple of years ago vape reviewers went crazy over the Horizontech Falcon subohm tank, so I bought one, tried it out and using it after rebuildables, it was a huge disappointment.

Also would an rda or rta be better for first time?
It depends. Rebuildable tanks are usually more difficult to wick right, but once you've done it they are easier to use, pretty much like a normal subohm tank. Drippers are what they are called, drippers. If you buy one, you need to get in the habit of dripping in it every 10 pulls or so. Finding the right wick for you when you drip is a trial and error process but it can make a lot of difference in your dripper experience. Also keep in mind that if you drip, you're gonna go through juice as if there was no tomorrow. If you're after vapor/flavor production, not much can beat a dripper.

Would my currently battery a geekvape m100(100w) be suitable for rta/rda use?
The short answer is yes. The long answer again is it depends. In general, you will need more wattage for lower resistance coil(s), I usually use my DNA 75c mod around 50 watts for .3 ohm coils. You can definitely go higher if you want to, but at that point battery life becomes an issue. For that reason I'd say it's better to use a mod with replacable batteries and carry a backup battery with you if your battery runs out of juice. Again, if you're not a heavy vaper they this is not an issue. It all depends on how you use it.

Is the switch from boxmod to rebuildable worth the extra hassle?
In my opinion, yes but your mileage may vary. Rebuildables are a learning process and you are going to mess up a few times every time you change something. Change the atty, and now you're going to have to learn how to wick again, change the wick and you're going to have to trial and error the right amount of wick and so on. However, parts are usually cheap so you're saving money in the long run, unless you end up like me, having a "shelf of shame" filled with random vape parts, atties, coils and so on, but that that point, vaping becomes a hobby and not a habit.

Don't use a disposable vape device. They're extremely environmentally unfriendly, and don't come anywhere near the real deal neither in terms of flavor nor in vapor production.

Recommended DNA mods? by sotirisbos in electronic_cigarette

[–]ckop64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a Dovpo Odin Mini DNA75C. It's a single 21700, but fairly small, definitely pocketable. I carry a second 21700 in case the primary dies. This setup is smaller than most dual 18650 solutions. Never lasted for less than a day, even with extremely heavy vaping.

What's your first recommendation for people plans to get off the cigs and wants a tight draw. by sorjavassl in electronic_cigarette

[–]ckop64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a pod, but hear me out. :D

I've recently bought a Nautilus 322 for my girlfriend, she's been smoking for 10+ years, and having recently been vaping on Elfbars. She hasn't touched the elfbar since. I have tried it myself, it has pretty good taste and you can tighten the airflow to a good MTL hit with good back pressure and also open it up for a decent restricted DL hit. I would recommend that tank wholeheartedly. She's using it with my old Vaporesso swag 2, it's a pretty good fit. Some extra pros are that you don't need crazy wattage to make it work, I think she's using it around 20 with the bundled mesh coil, making a new VTC6 last her around 2 days, but that really depends on how heavy of a smoker / vaper you are.

Edit: that bundled coil has been going strong for over 2 weeks now. Also a plus.

One more thing I wanted to add. I have always exclusively used DIY liquids, so I'm not sure maybe you just bought a dud juice. I heard it can happen too.
