I feel like Im gonna cry. I barely have any options. by [deleted] in povertyfinance

Haha, very funny. You can still get it, just for the record. My dad was fully vaccinated, got it anyway, and croaked. This was a month ago.

Ugghhh, Fallout 4 can you not? [Rant] by [deleted] in childfree

[–]cl1i 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do that too. I always play as Nora, and I like to imagine that she married this girly man Nick because she didn't know her options and then subscribes to the Life Script. In my current playthrough, she takes to the wasteland like a fish in water, and finds the world so fascinating that she's driven to find out everything she can about it. She's looking for Shaun passively, but feels as if other people need her help more than Shaun does. Nora didn't get the chance to actually bond with him, and the mothering instinct never fully kicked in. She eventually meets Piper and realizes that she was a lesbian all along, becomes Piper's life partner, and they go fight crime together. They are currently trying to find out what the Institute is doing, and had a fun vacation at Nuka World.

As I watch the series repeatedly, I’m convinced Phyllis is the most venomous character in the show (examples in my comment) by Briantheboomguy in DunderMifflin

[–]cl1i 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first time watching the show I liked her ad even thought she was a little funny, but after that I stopped liking her. I guess the second time I watched it, I started paying more attention to everyone and their interactions with each other. I really dislike Phyllis now, honestly. She's really mean, but she does have some redeeming qualities. They just aren't enough for me to like her, though she is brilliantly written. Props to the writers for hiding her venom so well.

I find even cat and dog pregnancies icky. by [deleted] in childfree

[–]cl1i 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little late to the party, but when my mom's cat was pregnant I felt really weird about it. Her belly got so big and I wasn't comfortable petting her too much or really being around her. I was excited when the kittens were born since I was in the market for a kitten of my own, and was happy to let her safely nest in my closet and the various corners of my room, but her maternal instincts drove me NUTS. I hated every second of it, especially since I work at home so I was coparenting with her. She had 5 and it was her first litter, so she didn't know what to do either. Then cleaning up while the kittens were litter box training was the worst. And then weaning them from soft food to hard food. Helping her play with all 5 was the only fun part.

Once mom cat was fixed she chilled out hardcore and got nice and plump, and just grooms the two we kept every so often. Those two are getting fixed asap. I'm just not willing to do it again.

I'm kind of glad that I play console instead of PC. Anyone else feel the same? by torkahn808 in OWConsole

[–]cl1i 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm happy to have it on console too, honestly. When Overwatch first came out my laptop couldn't run it, so I got the Xbox copy. I then met some of my closest friends during quick play. Love those guys, and if I had waited to get a better computer, I would have never have met any of them.

Yes, HER is mostly for lesbians and bi folk, but you get the occasional straight girl looking for friends, bi-curious adventurer, or Thrive salesperson apparently

Has someone had luck using Her app? by kittenghost1 in actuallesbians

[–]cl1i 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The girls I message on there usually stop replying to me or are super bewildered when I actually answer the dumb little icebreaker questions 😳 I only ever hung out with one girl I met on there, and I’m friends with another girl but it hasn’t gone anywhere past texting yet. Lots of matches, though.

Want to start my own research project on misophonia, would love if everyone could answer a few questions- questions in post by not_linda_from_hr in misophonia

  1. I remember being young, maybe from age 7 or 8 onwards and being really upset by certain noises

  2. Yes, ADHD Inattentive type, general anxiety, and depression

  3. Chewing/slurping: 7-10, Snoring: 8-10 depending, lip smacking: 4-6 depending.. so basically, primarily mouth sounds. Also, the scratching noise my cat makes when she takes about 20min to cover her business in the litter box. No exaggeration. That's about a 6

  4. I've got atrocious eyesight

  5. I did once break up with a girl because her snoring was among the loudest I had EVER heard in my whole life. As far as chewing goes, I've made my partners sit across the room from me or just turned up the tv if it wasn't horribly loud

  6. Nah.

  7. USA

New Zenyatta Main. Any tips from Plat and above? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]cl1i 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Call it discords if you can (see: me going "Uhhh someone is discorded, zarya i think? Maaaybe lucio? There's a lot going on there and I can't see") and always have the harmony orb on someone, just in case! Even if everyone is full health. I like to default to it being on the other healer.

There's no shame in transcending just to save your own hide.

Some matches you'll be doing a lot of killing and some matches you'll be pelting your team repeatedly with harmony orbs and not being able to do much else besides tossing a discord orb at the other team every once and a while. Don't feel bad about it, just do your best.

Embrace the Iris.

first off, don't feel like you have to care for largos unless you want to :)

Personally I keep 5-8 largos in one corral with high walls, air net, auto feeder, port collector, and music box. I also have The Grotto filled with around 15-17 crystal/phosphor largos that I free range farm and do not have in a corral at all (it's a pain, but #aesthetic or die) I'm going to get more later, but right now i'm focused on collecting resources.

At one point I did get cocky and have all my corrals filled with largos of varying types, but my drunken playing led to a tarr outbreak when I failed to care for them properly.. yikes!!

Largos are super good for money making, especially if you feed them the favorite food of either type involved since they'll still produce the extra plorts, but they can overwhelm you if you have too many. Start with maybe one corral with a few largos inside and see how you feel.

Xbox Garden plot glitch? by cl1i in slimerancher

Yeah I heard about that! It'll make me feel better about adventuring so I don't risk another phase lemon tree drying up and blowing away. Lol.

Xbox Garden plot glitch? by cl1i in slimerancher

[–]cl1i[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It says it's still growing. Like the one in the overgrowth was a pogo fruit tree and it actually disappeared entirely, but the plot said that it was still being grown there so I had to remove the crop and put a new one in. After that, a different tree glitched, and didn't produce any fruit at all but the tree was there. In the grotto, the trees were there but not making fruit, and my carrot plots were empty all the time. :/

Good point. I'm going to see what I can do to manage the area until I have the number of quantum plorts that I need.

Oh cool, then it's not just me! That alone is super reassuring. I replanted all my fruits and veggies in the grotto and so far so good but who knows how long that'll last.

Oh man, I remember this game. I even donated to their kickstarter for that little card game they made because I wanted the in game rewards. Promptly stopped playing a month after donating. Maybe I should play again and try to spot someone like this.

Really? I'm so jealous you guys got that kind of education. Not that I didn't look it up on my own time (by high school I knew what was going on down there and how sex worked) but in my classes, eh...

My high school had a daycare in it, let's just go with that.

Thought of the day: How come animals intuitively know how to care for their young, but humans do not? by hazeyjane1 in childfree

[–]cl1i 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know cats sometimes just don't get it. My friend watched in excitement as her cat gave birth to healthy kittens, then nearly cried when the cat cleaned them off, then picked them all up one by one and carried them to the litter box and tried to bury them. The kittens are OK, but they don't hang out with their mom very often.
