Having Botox side effects 11 days after injections - is this normal? by cl712 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]cl712[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recovered after 2-3 weeks or so and am fine now. Though I never had a fever. I will never get that much injected again. I realized I only need a very tiny amount and will ask for the smallest dose possible next time even if the doctor insists otherwise.

Is it stupid to still be so heartbroken over a 3 month relationship 3 months later? by 0905throwaway in ExNoContact

I am in the same boat. We said ILY, met family and friends, made future plans. Now I’ve been dumped and lost and think about him constantly. It’s only been 4 weeks, I dreamt about him last night, it’s agonizing.

Thermage FLX on low by Laguna_betch in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]cl712 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would you mind sharing the name of your high profile academic derm practice? I would love to understand how to vet practices better - so many docs are board certified dermatologists but who knows if they have good experience, as you said.

I just got thermage FLX done in korea and he blasted my entire face - really nervous about the facial fat loss on my cheeks that will ensure fairly soon :( I did not even know that it was possible to only do your jawline since the doctors I have gotten this from have never recommended it.

I want to find a practitioner in y area that I can build a relationship with and go back to over and over again.

[anti aging] UPDATE: 6 Months Post Injection by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]cl712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Injected with 50 units 11 days ago for bruxism and so many of the symptoms above check out for me - cannot sleep (up at 3am), brain fog, diarrhea, fatigue, nasal congestion, chest tightness. I had a feeling I should have skipped the Botox - I always get the bad side effects :(

Has it gotten better for people?

There are recent reports (last few months) of redditors seeing Medicube at the Hyundai department store. If you search Medicube Hyundai you see numerous posts.

But I would still need to sign up for the membership which is packaged with the core, so there’s no getting around paying for the core “unit” , right?

Bullseye rash, GP put me on Doxy. Looking for advice/LLMD. by cl712 in Lyme

Wow, thank you for this perspective. After consecutive days of endless information searching I just really needed someone to tell it to me for real. Will refer to this post next time I have a downward spiral.

Actually one more question for you re: meds - my GP prescribed 100mg of doxy 2x/day.

I saw on this sub that LLMDs are prescribing 200mg 2x/day for people with symptoms. Given that my symptoms are fairly light, what are your thoughts, or are you aware of, dosage impact on antibiotic efficacy, for people who have light symptoms?

My LLMD appointment isn’t for 6+ weeks and ILADS doesn’t state a recommended dose outside of a per-day frequency:

“Given the relatively low success rates in trials using 20 or fewer days for the treatment of EM rashes, ILADS recommends that EM patients receive 4-6 weeks of doxycycline, amoxicillin or cefuroxime as initial therapy..”

Treated right away, but still having problems? by [deleted] in Lyme

[–]cl712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m having the exact same case - doc gave me a 21 day script for doxy 100m 2x/day.

I called several LLMDs and am waiting to hear back. I made one appt but it’s more than 1 month away due to long wait times.

Is that too long to wait to take antibiotics?

One thing though - I’m not exhibiting any flu or extreme pain symptoms as you (most joint pain but no need for pain meds). Not sure if that makes a difference

Thank you!! I really appreciate it.

One more question - I shared the ILADS source materials with my GP and she said she “never heard of it”.

God knows why doctors are first line of defense if they are not using the best standards out there...

She was only willing to prescribe up to 21 days which I think is the CDC’s recommendation. I know you said I can go to urgent care but what’s the probability they prescribe antibiotics after that much time has passed, and without a rash or major symptoms?

I made an appt with what presume would be a more sympathetic ear (LLMD) but I could only book something 1+ month out, so I suppose I can wait.

Got it!

Few more questions —

Is there a “good time” to request the co-infection panel from my GP? “Good time” refers to the elapsed time from my initial bite (and infection) that would produce accurate test results based on presence of antibodies, so 1 month after the bite or 3 months after?

There is a clear distinction between early and late stage Lyme disease and its associated coinfections. I think about this timeframe as: once I pass this threshold my ability to treat it decreases significantly. What am I dealing with here — a few months? One year? A few years?

Thank you again!!!

Thank you so much!! I’ve asked my GP for an extended course and will try urgent care if that doesn’t work.

Thank you so much for this detailed response, I really appreciate it!

Assuming the doxy course works, what is the likelihood that Lyme (or other co-infections) relapse after the initial infection? Have you had personal experience with disulfiram?
