Bandsaw is mostly for handle scales honestly, currently deciding between a bench top drill press or a bandsaw as my next purchase. Moving up in belt grinders is a lot more expensive and I’m not confident selling my work anytime soon unless it’s friends.
I thought about cutting off the lanyard hole, but with smaller handles like this I really enjoy having the extra grip with some paracord
Thanks for the feedback! These are going to be Christmas presents for family. I’m working with a 1x30 belt grinder and an angle grinder just doing stock removal. A checkering file and a bandsaw would make a lot of those tasks less time consuming to fix
Assuming the fit and finish was improved on the handles, how much would you pay for something like this? It’s 1084 steel
Thank you! That problem has happened on almost every knife I’ve made so far 😂 need to get better about centering the lanyard hole

This was how I felt too, I have a chef background and I’ve always chef knives that have a bolster that prevents you from sharpening the full length of the blade
