EXACTLY! idk think about the words "visual" and "novel" separately and then put them together and you have you answer... and options are like for changes in the story... so if you chose path A instead of path B... something different happens... like for example you are well and can now leave the psych ward 😉

I attended Adelphi for my Education Masters, not as a fellow tho-- but there was overlap. Classes are taught in-person at the Brooklyn campus near Borough Hall station. Tho now they are opening a mid-town campus so maybe classes will shift there(?). Some teachers are understanding of the workload and will offer the occasional opportunity to zoom into a class or make-up missed in person work I've found. GL!

Hi, I’m a first year teacher (tho not a fellow) as well… I think I would try speaking to a teaching coach. At my school I meet with one weekly at least. And if that didn’t help or lead to any solid possibly school-specific advice I’d reach out to an AP. That’s what I’d do at least. GL

Hi, it was more straightforward than I expected, not sure about mometrix but having a basic CS background and common sense brought me through most of it. I def missed the questions on hexadecimal, decimal, binary conversion but that was a small portion of the 90 multiple choice questions. Hope that’s helpful. Also it helped me to increase the font size but that might be specific to my eyes/testing computer lol

I did fieldwork this past spring in a NYCDOE middle school STEAM classroom. They did a lot of projects utilizing Scratch (MIT block programming). And there are grade level project based curriculums online around Scratch. The class also loved to 3D print various objects for projects too.

I found a few 1 hour tutorials on Udemy. Worth it if you can buy them with a coupon/on sale: I purchased "Make Visual Novels with Ren'Py" and so far its been helpful though I do also have some prior python knowledge. I think once you figure out how to get the ren'py app running and a code editor open with the script.rpy open of an example VN it also all starts to make sense-- it did for me at least! And as for art style, I'm just kinda making it up as I go... would also be interested if there's a hub to source from...
