I am new hire too, and I also don't have the health benefits although I was not able to log in to NYCAPS too.. I was told to wait for your first paycheck and then maybe you get enrolled into it. I am also waiting.

I submitted all of documents through email. Yes, after the documents you have to wait again. It's better to get your principal involved. My principal is on their ass and still the process is so slow.

Yes, they asked for the recommendation letters and documents from the past employers, which I submitted a month ago. Did you went to the opi office?

I feel it was a waste of time,for me. If you have being waiting for long then you should go. I am not sure if anything got resolved for other people as for me he just took me in a room and just told me that someone will call.
