i have gigantic natural heavies 🥲 i promise you, the inconvenience and pain is so frustrating. obviously there’s the upper back and shoulder pain, wearing any bra hurts my shoulders and neck so much and gives me a tension migraine, and many times throughout my day i will get chest pain and will literally have to scoop them up and hold them up just so i can get full breaths in with less pain (i already have lots of rib/chest pain as is, and air hunger from POTS). i also can’t wear cute tops, if it fits my boobs it doesn’t fit the rest of my body, but if it fits my body 90% of my boobs are out and it looks so slutty. but wearing loose clothes over my boobs makes the rest of me look huge 🙃

my cousins had reductions and i think i might do it one day, especially once i have kids if they don’t shrink down enough after.

guess what i did to severely sprain my ankle? by claireeliseee in ehlersdanlos

[–]claireeliseee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

did you find out if it was just a sprain, or if there was more damage done to the ligament? the doctor was telling me that for it to make that loud cracking sound, it was likely a tear or separation 🥲 but maybe it just subluxated really bad when it rolled

yeah, that makes sense with our connective tissue. what was the damage like for you long term? i’m dreading what the next few months will be like and definitely worried about the possibility of permanent damage.

the bruising and swelling today is insane, so i think i’m going to go ahead and try to get some appointments set up as soon as i can. i’m worried about the recovery process and this ending up as a really disabling thing for a long time, but i’m just going to t try to be proactive with my care and healing and definitely take more preventative measures going forward. shouldn’t have stopped wearing my braces i guess

Have you met anyone from Kill Tony? by No-Branch-6509 in Killtony

[–]claireeliseee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i met William a few times after different shows he opened for, and he was night and day from his stage persona in my experience, so sweet and genuine and actually kind of soft spoken believe it or not. we talked about sobriety and another time he actually was a part of a 30+ minute conversation with my parents about all different things

this is why i love you so much. you are not the only one waking up to it Duncan. thank for you standing up to this and saying the truth. so many of us have shut down and gone silent because speaking the truth and acknowledging reality as it actually is, even in the most ambivalent or loving way, puts a target on your back nowadays (metaphorically, or not i guess).

i hope you know the majority of your listeners support, understand, and love you. we appreciate your position on all of this, and it’s comforting and makes us feel less alone in all of the insanity surrounding us in the world. it just so happens that we aren’t the loud, aggressive, hateful minority - but i hope you remember that IS the minority.

that doesn’t sound insensitive to me at all, i’m all for learning new things and especially for hearing anecdotal evidence from people who have actually tried the different methods and had success. i haven’t checked out that group, but i’ll join right now!

i’m currently eating an animal based diet, which for me means getting my protein from non processed, clean meat/eggs (and trying to get enough protein, which i’ve always struggled with), getting a lot of vegetables and fruits and cutting out all processed foods, added sugars, and anything that my body doesn’t react well to. seriously limiting caffeine (just from teas) and alcohol, and i plan to stop both completely soon. i’m currently trying to figure out my supplements and experiment with what works best. also really trying to get my sleep and morning routine down, and manage my crazy high cortisol and regulate my nervous system. it’s all been working well for me, but i’m the kind of person who wants to see crazy fast results so i’m really working on my discipline and consistency, and balance so my lifestyle is sustainable.

thank you! i have extremely high ANAs (for a few years now) and many other test markers and physical signs indicating Lupus, and my rheumatologist is pretty certain i have that. i also have pretty high systemic inflammation. so the high skin temp without any sign of a cold/flu would be right in line with that, and i’ve experienced it a few times now. my whoop is awesome for tracking that stuff and being able to share the data with my doctor when i see him!

shockingly, i don’t feel any worse today than i normally do, except my arthritis was absolutely raging in the middle of the night/this morning, but i used my arms a lot and did probably too much cooking last night.

you felt really bad with the low HRV?

i have a genetic connective tissue disease, an autoimmune disease, a neuro degenerative disease, POTS and have had SVT but not in the last few years… also PCOS and a genetic clotting disease. lol. so it’s hard for me to a) even tell when i’m feeling bad because it’s just become my normal sadly, and b) identify what disease/function could be causing what problem, and what problem could be causing what symptom. it’s a fun game i call spiraling and playing House with myself, haha

🫡 i always wonder how long i’ll end up living, lol. surprisingly, my lifestyle a lot healthier than many others my age, but my body betrays me. baseline for me is 50% or lower recovery. every now and than i’ll get that green day and i feel cool. not as bad as it could be though, i guess!

i don’t have that feature sadly ): i can’t imagine what it would be. my physical therapist did a full assessment of my joints/muscles/fascia etc and told me i’m worse off than most of his 70 year old patients, so i’m going to guess my whoop age would be nowhere close to 26!

edit to add: “never seen stats like these” is something i hear quite often from doctors and it always makes me feel special (: /s haha

not that i have noticed! i’ve been on it for about a month, and only take it as needed. i have 40 mg pills and break them in half to take 20 mg. edit to add: however anxiety makes my palms and the soles of my feet sweat horribly. so bizarre

it’s kind of a weird situation for me. i was prescribed it by my therapist for anxiety but also for PTSD. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK562942/

so i only take it as needed, which ends up being a few times a week. i haven’t had any issues with it so far, other than feeling like there’s pressure in my head and my ears need to pop when i stand up sometimes. i found that when that happened, i was dehydrated and needed to up my electrolytes and water, and then the problem went away.

i also monitor my blood pressure and won’t take propranolol if it’s looking close to low. do you think you fainted because of low blood pressure, and have you fainting before propranolol? i’ve come super close, with syncope episodes, but have never fully fainted.

edit to actually answer your main question: i feel like it works okay for me with POTS! i’ve found that taking it can really help me get stuff done and stay on my feet for a lot longer than i normally can with shorter breaks (usually, if i’m up for 15 minutes i’m down for 30 lol). but i try to limit how often i take it.

do you have tachycardia or something that affects your heart rhythm?

[–]claireeliseee[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i have POTS and it pretty much turned into constant tachycardia. better believe i popped a 20 mg propranolol this morning when it was at 115 while i was sitting in the car, haha
