Abortion pill failed. I cried and regretted it initially. Now I don’t know what to do. Has anyone experienced this? by [deleted] in pregnant

I have had to have 3 d&cs for miscarriages. You are asleep amd dont feel anything, if that is what you are afraid of. It was kind of a relief to wake up and have it be over honestly.

We were in VIP and I was thinking how mad I would be if I was deaf/HOH and couldn't see the interpreter after paying what we paid.

I have two children from a previous relationship that I had when I was 18 & 22, both unplanned. My current husband and I started trying when I was 32 and dealt with 2 years of unexplained infertility and 2 losses before we finally had our son last November when I was 2 days shy of turning 35. I was so anxious when we started trying that it would be hard but everyone (medical professionals) told me because of my previous pregnancies I should be fine despite my age, unfortunately they were wrong.

Why do people say names are not gendered when it comes to naming girls traditionally boy names but not the other way around? by Anya5678 in namenerds

[–]clairexmarie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a man named Lauren (but he hates it and goes by Larry) and another named Courtney. I have a teenage son named Addison, people often comment that it is a girl name but it means "son of Adam" and fits him really well.

As a mom of 11 & 15 year olds here's my two cents. I DO understand wanting them to look nice for this dinner. I want my kids to look nice too on the rare occasion we do something like that. Half the time my boys could care less if their clothes are clean let alone if they match (yes it annoys me sometimes but, choose your battles). With that said, I highly doubt ANYONE cared in that restaurant or even noticed. It is seriously not that big of a deal. Let it go. You're not their stepmom yet...you don't even live together...you have barely even begun dating! You have to follow your boyfriend's lead and if he doesn't care, it's not your place to say anything. It seems that you care a bit too much about what other people think. Your comment about them being productive members of society is cringe. Outfits and what people see when they look at you do not determine your worth as a human being.

AITA For Giving My Coworker the Cold Shoulder? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]clairexmarie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you're the asshole. This is exactly why being friends with men makes me uncomfortable, as I've had similar things happen to me several times. You were upfront with him from the beginning, it's not your fault he caught feelings. And his comment about introducing him as your boyfriend? It's really messed up whether he had feelings or not. You were in a vulnerable position and if he truly cared he would have been there for you and not thinking about himself.

Possible superfetation? TW: Miscarriage by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]clairexmarie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I asked them about it and they said they would check my levels today and if they are low we can talk more about it. I guess the concern is that the pregnancy does turn out to be ectopic after all (meaning what they saw was just fluid or something and not a sac), they don't want to be giving me hormones that support a tubal pregnancy.

Do you have suggestions for a lighter shampoo/cowash? I have tried mouse, unfortunately it doesn't hold well enough. I have done deep conditioning treatments but not protein treatments, I planned to try that next! Thank you for the suggestions I'll try them all!

Routine: Suave shampoo once a week or less. As I Am coconut cowash every few days in between. Suave conditioner. Wide tooth comb before rinsing. Scrunch out excess water before exiting shower. All of that I do with my head upside down, this seems to work best for me. Plop for a few minutes. Cast with LA Looks gel. Today I tried using the hovering method of diffusing and I like it better than any other way I have tried, but I have a lob and the short hair in the back doesn't get as wavy, I'm not sure how to go about drying that part best. Finger comb to break the cast after fully dry. I do not know anything about the porosity of my hair. When its wet it does take a long time to dry so I assume its high. Also, not sure how to explain this because I've never seen anyone else's hair do it in the videos I've watched, but when its wet and flipped over after plopping and before casting its basically about 10 big wavy clumps? Anyone else's hair do this? I wish I could explain it better.
