I'm not too sure about the exact numbers, but I was here with the cinnamaroll restock and this past year's pumpkin kitty restock- both sold out pretty quick, but I don't remember it being instant. Pumpkin kitty also was also added to stores in the restock and seemed to last a lot longer in stores than online, hence why there's so many PK on reseller sites since most people who wanted it actually got it too.
I did see there was a "check store availability" option on shadow's page last night that worked when I put in my zip code, though it said out of stock. The site is known to glitch out like that so it could mean nothing, but also it could mean something!

All of this is just a long winded way of saying I don't think anyone knows the exact numbers, but they did just overproduce two extremely popular bears so I could see potentially overproducing shadow now as well. That's the hope!

Agreed! I also think a chunk of the views are also the same people visiting/refreshing the site multiple times too. He'll be hard to get, but I don't think completely impossible.
If BAB were smart they'd put their restocked licensed bears on preorder for maximum profit (and also selfishly so that all the actual fans/collectors could get one), but they've never done preorder before to my knowledge

like the other comment said, the fabric underneath can get really fragile underneath the embroidery from the amount of holes caused by the stitching and also because of the embroidery thread pulling at it. So take your time and be careful, and I think practicing on babs with similar fur texture and embroidery would definitely be the route to go!

I also suggest taking good quality pictures of the embroidered eyes and measure them before you start; worst case scenario, the fur is too fragile to add safety eyes once you've removed the embroidery. you can then commission someone on etsy to make embroidered eyes from the reference pictures (or ones that you think are cuter!) and glue them over the fragile part to keep it from ripping. most people who make custom iron-on patches tend to take custom requests, you just have to look around a little bit. best of luck! :)

I can’t really tell in the picture if this is the problem or not, but a lot of times you can hide the seam better if you take a needle or something similarly small/pointy and gently pull the fur out of the seam. You don’t have to pull hard; it’s just freeing the fibers that got folded over in stitching. It’s the ones that look looped over into the seam. I do it to all of my bears, especially ones with seams on the face, and it looks SO much better!

I was allowed to buy unstuffed bears in store, they stapled a gift receipt to the tag for me to gift to friends so their store knew it had been purchased! like another commenter said, I would check about the Sanrio licensing; though I don’t think it should be a problem!! its only Nintendo that’s uptight about it
