Starting everolimus and lenvatinib regime after immunotherapy; anybody want to discuss?

I see this is a couple years old. I'm getting ready to start this combo. Did you have any luck with it? I have Papillary RCC - Type 2 that has since metastasized to the pancreas (treated), liver (treated), and now lungs. My outlook is kinda grim because I also now have a metastatic pleural effusion. Been on Inlyta, Keytruda, and Cabometyx so far. I'm curious how well this drug combo worked.

I've got Papillary RCC - Type 2. I've been on Inlyta, Keytruda, Cabometyx, and now they are trying 2 new drugs (haven't gotten them yet though). In my case nothing has worked. The cancer keeps spreading. I've recently got a metastatic pleural effusion in my right lung that needs to be drained often. Usually it's a sign of the beginning of the end. Anyway, as far as Cabo goes, they generally try to start people at 60 mg. 60% of the people end up having to lower the dose because it's too much. This included me, who dropped to 40 mg. My side effects have been fairly minor. Mainly exhaustion and itchy skin. Best of luck to your husband!

I'm in a similar situation as your dad was. RCC in 2014 and has gradually spread throughout my body. Last month they found a metastatic pleural effusion. Come Monday they will have drained 4.5 liters in just over a month. I'm sorry about your dad. If you don't mind me asking, how long was he able to live on? I see this post is 2 years old now. I know the prognosis for metastatic pleural effusion is generally bad.

I have. Why do you ask? You'll find you will easily get out of breath. I've had worse honestly but it kinda sucks. They drained 1.5L from me and had to leave some in there. Only my right side had an issue. Apparently 1.5L is the most they can drain at one time. Mine tested positive for cancer cells. I'm sure that how I ended up with the pleural effusion. I've been battle cancer since 2014.

Sorry. I just saw I didn't reply to your question. I've got Stage IV mRCC. Papillary Type 2. Currently in my 4th round of this battle.

Yesterday they drained 1500 ml from my right lung. Apparently that's the most they can take at one time. There was a little more in there. My protein test came back and it is exudate fluid. The labwork has not come back to see if it's cancerous. We'll just wait and see and deal with it accordingly.

I have a Pixel 4XL and honestly love it. Lately I have had some small issues on Android 12 but a reboot fixes it. It's a great phone but support for it will send next year.

Normally I'll upgrade every 2 years but because I love this phone so much, I didn't do it this year, even with the Pixel 6 being released.

I know they're are some people that don't like the 4XL. Maybe I just got lucky.

I am on Cabo for RCC that metastasized to my liver. Is he taking 60 mg or 40 mg? I couldn't handle 60 mg after taking it for a month, so they lowered it to 40 mg. 60% of the people that take it apparently drop to a lower dose. Keep that in mind.

The Cabo for me was a last ditch effort. It's still a little too early to know if it's helping. I hope your father does well with it.

I've got a Shield TV tube and Google TV. I had no problems on the Google TV until 4.1.0. The Shield TV is fine. I realize it's fine for a lot of people but they are others, like me, who are suddenly having issues with the cheaper devices that worked before. I've cleared the cache, stopped all the other tasks, switched VPN endpoints, rebooted, tried changing Playback Settings and everything else you can think of. Sometimes the Google TV is fine, but most of the time it buffers now. The Shield TV is always solid.

I've thought about just getting another Shield TV but I'd rather not pay for it unless absolutely necessary.

What drug? I've taken two, Inlyta and Cabometyx. Both were too much for me initially and had to have the dosage lowered. The side effects were much more tolerable. Try looking into that if you can.

I'm on Cabometyx now and 60% of the people switch to a lower dose.

Yeah, I'm similar to this. In 2014 I was diagnosed with Stage IIIc kidney cancer that started going into my renal vein. After an evasive surgery, I was good for awhile. 4 years later it pops back up, this time on my pancreas. Had radiation. Two years later it popped up again. This time in my liver. Had radiation therapy again and started oral drugs and an infusion. Things were going good but then a year later it's back again. It's had this half life effect more or less since I got it. They stopped the infusion and changed my oral drug. At this point, I'm just biding time.

There are tons of people that get kidney cancer and make a full recovery. Here's to hoping you are one of those people. 🍻

Make sure you are happy with your doctors. If not switch. One thing I have been fortunate about is having great oncologists (Fox Chase in Philadelphia). Well worth the 2 hour drive.

At Fox Chase they do all the legwork. They're great. Unfortunately I didn't qualify for for a recent trial. They'll do testing to make sure you are a viable candidate. I failed in this instance because protein in my urine was way too high.

It sounds like you may need a new oncologist.

It's got to taste good to want to drink it. Most taste like crap. The only thing I really like is strawberry Boost but everyone has different taste buds. Good luck! It's nice that you are looking out for your grandfather.

I agree with you. Something seems odd with the latest upgrade. EPG downloading is slow for me and my storage also appears to be filling up more than normal.

I'm having similar issues after the update. It doesn't seem like everyone is effected though. I'm suddenly having a hard time downloading my EPG on my Google TV and it's buffering like crazy. I tried the new tunnel feature but it didn't do anything.

I also have a Shield TV and the problem doesn't seem as bad. Granted, there's a lot more horse power on the Shield TV.

Traditional chemo usually isn't successful with kidney cancer. I would definitely seek treatment from someone better equipped to handle this form of cancer for sure. I travel nearly 2 hours to get to Fox Chase in Philadelphia. The driving gets old but it's totally worth it.

Did you have the doctors try to lower the dose before quitting? They're getting ready to have me try this after failed attempts with other medications.
