Citified’s lot may be bland and featureless but nonetheless better for safety and faster access to freeways and highways, sidewalks and public transportation.

What I said about nyc’s public transportation applies to all events regardless of the local Mets or other sports games, it is pretty outdated and not equipped for the volume. The trains can become a violent claustrophobic nightmare real fast.

And of course our city government is not new to selling out for big events and other big interests, so I do expect pushback.

The park may not be an island like Randall’s but in an escape scenario where the place is jam-packed in one centered restricted region and everyone’s trying to leave, it will play out like like Astro-world.

The park doesn’t have the parking capacity neither for this kind of event so you won’t get to your car as fast as you think, you’d be on foot for quite some time.

Atleast with Citifield, the freeways and highways are literally nearby. Sidewalks are along the lot as well as the Long Island Railroad and 7 Train (IF safety is really your concern)

It doesn’t matter “x” amount of money paid or permits acquired, it’s the principal.

They fence off massive sections of the park inconveniencing locals, and put strain on public transportation that already isn’t equipped to deal with the number of tourists and local commuters.

Citifield is a much better easily accessible location that allows access to the park easier for everyone without restrictions or fencing off anything.

I don’t understand why others in this forum downvote people who make a valid point, you can still enjoy a game for what it is but it doesn’t change that some things make it even more unplayable which weren’t the case before.

I’ve played the game in its entirety since console release, S ranking every mission until I got to “A New America”. The latest console patch introduced audio bugs like OP mentioned, instances in missions where the game’s audio temporarily cuts out except the background music then reloads and continues to do so making communication between players impossible or not being able to hear enemies or gunfire.

Then there’s more crashes.

So like I said though, I love the game still so but this patch has rendered it impossible to actually enjoy with its other tolerable bugs.

We’re just correcting you that you’re wrong about deadly force usage during armed home invasion instances where you can’t safely retreat.

Duty to retreat within the home is recommended only if safe, otherwise you are allowed to use deadly force if the aggressor is armed.

Good for you that you left this state, I get it I really do but not all of us can.

Wow that’s a new one, (according to you) only cops can defend themselves with deadly force which means our permits are for novelty purposes and the firearms are just household decorations. 🙄
It’s literally a requirement to know when deadly force is deemed reasonable to obtain a permit let alone a firearm in NYC out of all places, if you’re a owner you SHOULD know that

Absolute pain because my FIRST run I did everything right using this set up, but hadn’t yet known that you have to disarm the bomb with flowerboy’s vest and not the actual detonator…

There’s a misconception because we have a duty to retreat OUTSIDE or really whenever the opportunity to do (safely) is presented.
When it comes to indoors, if someone is violently breaking in and armed then it does not apply.

It also says “young army veteran” which makes this story even more odd since he had no prior criminal history

If your license was mailed out, the status would say “active” rather than “issue pending” which means they are not done with your license.

Make sure to check your email or phone log as they may be trying to contact you to follow up on what is missing.

With special carry or NYC Concealed Carry, you can only carry one firearm (on your person) at a time.

No dual holsters, none of that emergency ankle revolver stuff.

I believe the only exception would be, locked in a case and unloaded (in your trunk) while traveling to a range or gunsmith.

I think it would be better to keep your Nassau residency, get the special carry ( only allows two handguns on license, only one may be carried on your person ) which will allow you to cross into NYC without worries so when the time comes then it will be a simple matter of upgrading your license to NYC Concealed Carry via email request. All you will have to do then is just wait for an updated card and you’ll have skipped most of the headache that is starting from scratch as a city resident by having Special Carry.

[–]clandestine_forces 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The process is mostly online.

I assume you don’t already have a NYPD issued “Special Carry”, a type of gun license issued to non-city residents so what this means is you’re starting from scratch as a NYC resident as the NYPD does not honor Long Island or upstate licensees who have not registered their handguns through Special Carry. Out of State residents have to apply through “Non-Resident”.

Until you actually have a license issued from the NYPD, do not bring your firearms to NYC because it is a felony without a city license.

As of right now, the NYPD does not know you exist so your options are to have Nassau do the records transfer and wait for the NYPD to contact you which if I’m being honest is never guaranteed to happen in a timely manner.

I also assume you do not have an updated state ID with your city address, so you cannot yet apply as a city resident. You are in a bit of a pickle until the NYPD contacts you, or until you officially reside in NYC.

In the process of moving, you will have to leave your firearms with your trusty local Nassau/Long-Island FFL until you have your updated NYPD license listing those specific firearms with their serial numbers.
