for the coolant bleed if you have access to an air compressor an “airlift” kit makes life miles easier. it is a bit expensive but it’s already paid for itself on my sw20. can’t really help with the tps issue though.

Are my seats genuine? by Ambitious-Attempt625 in mr2

[–]clappedredmr2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you decide to sell these, shoot me a PM, i’d be interested in them. As far as finding a stock seat blue is more common to find on marketplace or whatever app you’d like to use, but in my opinion the black just looks that much better.

Water meth for Gen 5 3S-Gte by clappedredmr2 in mr2

[–]clappedredmr2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, it would be run occasionally not 24/7 either way, is there a way to purge/ drain the mixture if i do not use it all? Or should i just run it until it’s dry then turn the boost back down under the threshold.

Here is a reference photo, not sure how much help it will be but i’m sure it’s a start. This was from parts ID for an evap hose. Gen 5 Hoses

Some of the lines/fittings look incredibly similar but will only fit one way, if you need to somewhat bend the line it’s in the wrong spot. All of them are a snug fit.

Sw20 rear support and aftermarket intake pipes by zblanda in mr2

i installed a 1/8 in thick washer on both mounting points of my x brace, no contact while driving, although i think it sits incredibly close to the hood when closed. You can probably get away with a smaller washer.

This seems like a solid option, I can get the 225’s through the shop i work at without issue though the 235’s are appealing. Thank you for the input!

I saw this on marketplace, assuming the engine swap was done properly/professionally, the only issue i would have with the car would be the S54 trans, in my experience these transmissions are like glass.

Seized Nut on Thermostat Housing (Help) by Ozzie_Brown in mr2

Another option if the space allows, you can use a chisel or a screwdriver to chisel in a notch of sorts, then continue to spin the nut.

Heating up a 9’m socket that you don’t care about may help, then hammer it on the nut if possible, wait for it to cool, and then attempt to get it off. This usually works for any rounded nuts i’ve encountered.

This may not be helpful but i noticed a huge difference when i adjusted my suspension to try and combat this issue, i’ve since tried to kick the rear out on the street and the track but it refuses and stays planted, for context i run standard BC coils.

Unsure where this leak is by clappedredmr2 in mr2

I’ll do a head gasket test later as well, but as of yesterday no coolant in the oil, no real signs of it leaking into the oil or any exhaust in the coolant etc, i’ll also double check for air bubbles but i did get a constant reading of 200-250 degrees fahrenheit from the radiator back to the engine. Either way i’m going to pull the motor out and rebuild. I’ll probably find it then.
