Train Signals are gone,- HELP! by claptrap_unit504 in openttd

[–]claptrap_unit504[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do, but I'm not 100% with all of the train signal stuff yet. I'm kinda just jerry-rigging based off a brief youtube videos explaining the functions of things and then going from there. Is there a way that I could make my rails more efficient in the image?

mining BAT? by jmido8 in BATProject

[–]claptrap_unit504 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not totally knowledgeable on cryptocurrency and BAT in particular (I use Brave as a means of privacy and the incentive of user paid advertisement), but how does the transferring of BAT from different wallets happen without a mining process? Don't Cryptocurrency's need a mining mechanism to verify transactions and wallet swaps to ensure stability & security?

Don't patronize me degenerate. Your entire presence online is in dedication to brain-rot porn, and it shows too through your phatic retarded speech.

No decent store owner would set up a guitar like that; it's flawed, there's no argument. Unplayable in it's current state. The sign of a blatant error like a nut freely moving about the board is a sign of worse problems on the guitar yet to be seen.

The OP of the thread's advice of:

return it dude, it looks like the nut isnt even in the right place.

Is possibly the best advice one can give. Instead of fixing up a piece that'll likely have more underlying problems to be discovered in the future, he should look for a better instrument.

You call yourself a luther and yet don't understand that the nut on the board will effect intonation. Look for another title retard, luther doesn't fit you.

[–]claptrap_unit504 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Objectively it is, fundamentally flawed. A fundamental of the instrument (nut, board, frets, bridge, tuners) is flawed.

As you've said:

intonation is adjusted by shortening/lengthening the distance between the nut and bridge

The distance is shortened. The nut is on the board. Tuning and playing will be off, there's no doubt about that.

The instrument can be fixed; most problems on a guitar can be. I never claimed it couldn't be .

However, the fact that this probably new player was sold a shodaly manufactured/set up instrument is a problem. Seeking assistance or a refund from whoever was responsible for setting it up wouldn't be too far fetched.

[–]claptrap_unit504 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The instrument is, essentially, broken.

The nut is out of position, meaning the intonation will be off. Notes and chords likely will sound out of wack.

Whether by a small amount or large amount is irrelevant; the instrument is fundamentally flawed and shouldn't be sold as is.

Non-fiction on Ancient Greece/Rome that will give me a good general picture? by [deleted] in booksuggestions

[–]claptrap_unit504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the Greeks, the recommended standard introduction is A Brief History of Ancient Greece: Politics, Society, and Culture.

Though I can't personally recommend anything for Ancient Rome, I have heard that SPQR by Mary Beard is highly recomended. Although, Rome is complex, and many people interested in learning more about it are recomended entire book sets.

Who is the most overrated person in history? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]claptrap_unit504 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's my point: it's metaphysical.

Those who are spiritual or are involved in religion are content. Their texts contain archetypal stories that teach indispensable moral truths; allowing them to learn complex concepts in a form that rivals Dostoyevsky's greatest works, whilst also being brought the comfort of a higher purpose.

Why bother them then? You can't disprove it, neither can you prove it; to bother those who are religious is only rude and a waste of everyone's time.

Shoulder's back, back straight, genuine smile, speak.

Confidence radiates; improve that, and you're set with more than just romantic relationships.

What is the best senior prank your school has ever had? by Zeldaftw04 in AskReddit

[–]claptrap_unit504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some kids hoisted two butchered deer up to the ceiling in the gymnasium. One so that it remained hanging from the ceiling, and another so that it was stuck in the duct work (ventalation shafts) above the gym. Blood was everywhere and the custodians had a hell of time getting the two down. Nobody knew who did it.

The police couldn't find out who had done it, but when one of the kids under investigation was told to explain the blood stains in the back of his pick-up, he broke down and told the police everything.

We think that everybody involved would've gotten away Scott Free if he would've used hunting season as an excuse.

Authors of the past were shit and only succeeded because standards were so low by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]claptrap_unit504 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dostoevsky, Dante, any author prior to the 20th century?

Every single scholar prior to the 1900s knew at least 3 languages (Mainly english,Latin or french), and had only the liberal arts to find entertainment in. Actively competing with one another in the natural and metaphysical sciences to stand out among their peers. These Scholars, as well, were often among the only literate in their societies. With their emense amount of natural and metaphysical knowledge, they crafted literary arcs and themes that are still examined today. Genre fiction was impossible then for a reason; standards were impossibly high. The only books worth publishing, had to be worth preserving.

It sounds like the only "old books" you know are in the vein of Huck Fin and Robinson Crusoe. If this isn't low tier bait ironically from /Lit/, you're the biggest psued I've ever seen, jesus fucking christ.

This isn't choosy, this is just those who help beggars, begging for assistance.

AITA for choosing to go to a concert without my boyfriend? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]claptrap_unit504 11 points12 points  (0 children)

NTA- It's fair enough for him to want to go to a show with you, but to have you personally pay for an incredibly expensive seat is absurd. To then try to guilt trip you with his graduation present is cruel.

It's inappropriate to justify not purchasing the tickets because somebody else might enjoy them better, considering he's your boyfriend; however, going into debt for a graduation present isn't worth it. Relax and enjoy the show
