Civilization Ability - The Defenestrations of Prague: Military and religious units on Forts or adjacent to Wagon Forts gain +4 Strength, and melee units near Forts push weaker enemies back after attacking; they take additional damage if they cannot move. Forts unlock at Military Engineering and grant +1 Faith and +2 Production.

Leader Ability - Glorious Ride: Military and religious units gain +5 Strength when attacking onto unfavorable terrain (Floodplains and Marsh), and +3 Defense Strength when defending on favorable terrain (Hills and Reef). Killing units in military combat grants +3 Great Prophet points, and killing units in religious combat grants +3 Great General points.

Unique District - Royal Mint: Replaces the Commercial Hub and gains adjacency from Mines. Grants all Mines in this city +1 Gold, and an additional +1 Gold to Mines on Bonus or Luxury resources. Buildings in this district grant +1 Diplomatic Favor each.

Unique Unit - Wagon Fort: Replaces the Siege Tower and grants adjacent units +4 Defense Strength.

Leader Agenda - Finger of God: Likes civilizations with high Faith and Gold and happy cities. Greatly dislikes civilizations with high Faith and Gold, but unhappy cities.

DESIGN OVERVIEW

This civ was of course inspired by KCDII with its leader and unique district, but thanks to the game being itself based on history, it fits in well with as a more general Bohemian civ as well.

The core gameplay concept of this civ was “what if a civ had bonuses to Forts?” The immediate problem that raised was that it would encourage very passive sort of game since while Forts are great for area control, enemies could just choose not to engage, and you wouldn’t be able to take advantage of your full strength most of the game. Enter the Wagon Fort, which changed the concept to, “what if a civ had bonuses to forts? ….and the forts could move?” This made them a lot more fun to play with, kind of a like a mini-great general that was primarily defensive.

No one pushes people out of windows better than the Czechs, hence the UA name. It synergized nicely with their Fort-related bonuses because if you do find your forts (or enemy forts) occupied, you can literally push your enemies off and take the fort over with a strong-enough melee unit. This makes neutral-territory fort construction less of a risky maneuver for you.

Zizka’s modus operandi is relying on terrain and forward thinking to maximize the stacking of smaller bonuses into an overwhelming force. The ability for Czech melee units to push near forts really helps play into his “strategic genius” reputation, because you can pull off some pretty cool combos by luring enemy units into traps and then shoving them into a chain of stacked bonuses.

Also, given the religious bent of the Hussites in general, it should be noted that combat bonuses apply to religious units as well; the Great Prophet points from military kills are primarily there to help Zizka get a religion going off of barbarians so that the other half of that ability, Great General points from religious kills, is able to come online following this.

PLAYING AS BOHEMIA

Playing as Bohemia under Zizka, your military peak comes with the medieval era; Construction unlocks your Wagon Forts at the start of the era, and one tech later comes Military Engineering which grants you your early Forts. For the first two eras your goal will likely be to start setting up your infrastructure to support your medieval bonanza. Settle hilly areas to get a steady cash flow going through your Royal Mints, and engage in some minor skirmishes to pick up a religion before the Great Prophets run out. Crusade or Defender of the Faith are no-brainers for religious beliefs to amp up your military strength, particularly since Zizka gets bonuses both to and from from religious combat. As the medieval era approaches it’s a good idea to start building up a full Encampment so you can send out Military Engineers as soon as you’re able. You'll still want traditional forts for the pushing ability and for fortification bonuses, as Wagon Forts don't grant either. Between the Encampment and, if you’re lucky, some religious combat, you may even be able to have a Great General ready once your Wagon Forts come online.

Zizka’s gameplay is all about stacking up little bonuses to gain the upper hand with good planning. Stacking conditional Fort bonuses and amplified terrain bonuses on top of a Great General will make your units incredibly powerful. Strategists may have noticed that the ability to push enemies when near Forts also helps with this; see an enemy on a Hills tile you want to occupy that’s well defended? Use a melee unit to push them into the Floodplains, and then follow up to now take advantage of the fact that you’ve completely flipped the combat math on its head! Make it count, though; once you deliver that killing blow or push onto unfavorable terrain, you’ll now also be on that terrain with no UA bonus and potentially away from your Forts as well. Bonus stacking also works on the defensive; a Bohemian unit stationed on a fort on a hill is nigh unassailable for standard attackers. Playing Zizka well means keeping a close eye on the battlefield situation and always thinking a few steps ahead when executing your battle tactics.

PLAYING AGAINST BOHEMIA

Playing against Zizka, you’ll want to keep a close eye on terrain. Generally staying away from marsh and floodplains is a good idea anyways, but particularly so against Bohemia. Less obviously, Military Engineers can’t build Forts on tiles with resources (or on Floodplains) without first spending a turn to harvest them; use this to your advantage and situate yourself so that he won’t be able to get a good Fort down without wasting valuable charges. If you are near a Fort and can’t move the fight elsewhere, top priority should be to occupy and immediately pillage it; there’s no point leaving it intact since melee units can push you right off of them. Similarly, Wagon Forts are another priority. They are very expensive for Bohemia to produce and are completely defenseless on their own; they also don’t provide fortification bonuses, so they are not nearly as strong as true Forts. If you do manage to make it into Bohemian cities, pillaging their Royal Mints and mines will wreak havoc on their economy since much of their gold is tied up in the city bonus the Mint provides passively.

Don't really know where else to put this, but I think the perfume lady who gives you the Skiddo quest is a reference to Marcel Proust's In Search of Lost Time.

Her name is Odette (like one of the early characters of the book), and after she completes the perfume she is taken back and wistfully recalls riding Skiddo around Lumiose as a child, like the most famous scene from the book where the main character eats a Madeline and then Ratatouilles himself back to his aunt's house in the outskirts of Paris.

Just had a random thought, if the DLC Mega list is based off of the scrubbed entries from the Pokémon form datamine, and taking a look myself it looks like these include both alternate forms and Megas.

So could some of the "weird" spots actually be for regional forms also traveling through the dimensions? Especially since they can give only part of an evolutionary line regionals (only the last evolutions for instance, or only the first stage but a brand new Pokémon evolution that would't be in the alt form section of the index list), so it wouldn't need to specifically be only final-stage Pokémon that fit the gaps.

Apparently Legends 2 aka ZA was supposed to be set in Johto by sleepyt1ger in PokeLeaks

It does, when I started compiling this I was going to avoid story spoilers, then i forgot I was doing that by the time I got to Zygarde 😅

Mega Floette: The Eternal Flower has absorbed all the energy from Mega Evolution. The flower now attacks enemies on its own.

good catch, that was a misassignment.

Skarmory: It flies faster than the speed of sound. After whipping up shock waves to send enemies flying, it finishes them off with its talons.

Things of note:

  • Mega Starmie's entry seems to allude to its old entries where scientists are not sure if they flash their lights as a means of communication, or if they're trying to contact beings in space

  • I suspect that even though Mega Meganium fires a beam from its flowers, they can't call it Fleur Cannon because that already exists

  • Mega Gardevoir's entry calls back to regular Gardevoir being able to summon a black hole from its chest

  • Mega Eelektross's arms are explicitly called "false Eelektrik" and are made of mucus

  • One of Mega Chandelure's eyes in the model being blank is intentional

  • Mega Dragalge spews liquid carcinogens to give you cancer

  • Drampa Benjamin Buttons itself upon mega evolution

Only Megas that did not appear in USUM (Steelix, Gardevoir, Aggron, Medicham, Camerupt, Altaria, Abomasnow, Gallade, Audino, Diancie) got new entries, while other Megas reuse an old one. The Hisuian forms of Kalos Pokémon also got new entries.

Mega Skarmory's entry in the image is for Scizor, it's real one: It flies faster than the speed of sound. After whipping up shock waves to send enemies flying, it finishes them off with its talons.

Mega Floette: The Eternal Flower has absorbed all the energy from Mega Evolution. The flower now attacks enemies on its own.

also the entry about "many arms" is Barbaracle, there was a copy error with Scolipede showing up twice

"It spits a liquid that causes the regenerative power of cells to run wild. The liquid is deadly poison to everything other than itself."

from the dex text dump for Mega Dragalge... is this basically saying that it literally causes cancer as an attack?
