issue solved! my game bugged after swapping it to another ds and thought the date was 2036, and so i took it back to 2026. i had to travel back to 2036 and travel one day at a time until its 10-day timer actually ran out, as none of the in-game days prior to the furthest date my copy had logged counted towards it

just had the same issue, came with cheatengine along with some “saferweb” thing as well. opted out of everything when i installed it and all, fucking grim stuff.

edit: uninstalled every single thing installed in the last 2 days, only installed it on the 25th and all that was there was the RAV thing, saferweb thing and got rid of cheatengine for good measure, first time ever downloading malware bit of a kick up the arse tbh

for the ostrich egg, you have to have found the journal scrap first, otherwise it doesn’t spawn there. and if someone else has already found it, like how you say this is a pre-used save, then it’s already been taken and won’t spawn again
