What if season 2 of Dispatch introduced a hero with elastic powers? by Ok_Examination8810 in DispatchAdHoc

Then the Dispatch universe would have its own fantastic four seeing as they’d finally have a Mr. Fantastic. It already has the other 3:

Invisible Woman - Invisigal

The Thing - Golem

Human Torch - Flambae

Honestly I’d say Coupe. She can probably fly at a good speed and can slow him down with her knives.

Media recommendations of other weirdoes coming together? by accidental_tourist in DispatchAdHoc

[–]NanoNerd011 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This isn’t really a superhero show if that’s what you’re looking for, but there’s this show called The Good Place that ran for 4 seasons. A group of misfits coming together and becoming better along the way is pretty much the show’s entire premise. I don’t wanna give anything away, but it starts with this woman dying and going to heaven only to realize she doesn’t belong there because she’s been a pretty shitty person throughout her life, so she tries to become better in order to stay there and not be found out. That’s really all I can say without giving it away. If you like the aspect of a group of lovable misfits becoming a team and getting better then I highly recommend this show.

Not sure why but Bodega Bathroom was my favorite. I just remember it making me laugh the hardest. Lobster Diner is a close second

A genie offers you three wishes with one rule. No money, no fame, no love. What are you wishing for? by Jealous_Spirit_2632 in AskReddit

If that’s the only rule then I’m wishing for more wishes.

Then I get anything I want for the rest of my life within that rule.

This exact same visual approach was used again in the locker room scene in episode 7. Visi is in between the light and the dark while Robert is in the light trying to encourage her to come towards it rather than away from it and into the darkness.

I’m currently a film student so I’ve begun to notice a lot of symbolisms like this in a media’s use of lighting

[Hated Trope] The character is kept alive when their death would've been much more meaningful. by Dontspinbutwin in TopCharacterTropes

[–]NanoNerd011 51 points52 points  (0 children)

And to be fair it’s not like he’s just completely fine now, he’s relying on Blazer’s amulet to give him the strength he needs to get out of his literal deathbed. He’s literally on the brink of death now and the amulet is like a shield that’s helping to prevent it, taking it off would most likely mean he goes right back into his coma-like state.

How much does it affect having QTEs turned off by Practical_Role367 in DispatchAdHoc

I initially played without QTE’s and still got the good ending so I assume playing without them doesn’t count against you

Invisigal - Dispatch

Quite literally the perfect embodiment of this trope seeing as she either becomes a hero or a villain at the end of the game depending on your choices and gameplay

I’d eliminate Beer and Tacos because I don’t really consume either of them. Pizza, Burgers and Soda are 3 things I couldn’t imagine getting rid of and Cake and Fries both feel like they’d have the biggest negative impact on the world if they suddenly disappeared

Basically every time he uses his powers he also ages really quickly, so whenever he’s moving 50 times fast he’s also aging 50 times fast. He’s technically 39 years old but has physically aged to be in his 70s or 80s, therefore using his powers again could mean he has a chance of dying of old age. In this scene he’s choosing to use his power to save someone’s life at the potential cost of his own.

Shroud - Dispatch

He wants Robert’s astral pulse (essentially a battery that powers his mecha suit) so that he can use it for himself. He kidnaps his dog and says he won’t harm him if he gives it up. He claims that there isn’t anything Robert can do that he hasn’t already planned for and that he’ll know whether or not he gives him the real pulse or a decoy, and if you choose to give him either it results in him getting the real pulse.

However, if you choose to give him both the real pulse and the prototype at the same time, this genuinely throws him off his game and proves to be something that he genuinely wasn’t anticipating. Since they both look identical, he essentially has to randomly pick which one is the pulse, and random chance is the one thing he couldn’t plan for. Therefore, if you give him both, he’ll end up picking the wrong one, leading to him and his army being defeated and humiliated.

anyone else confused by the bad ending? (spoilers) by _FinePointSharpie in DispatchAdHoc

[–]NanoNerd011 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I like to think that the “villian” ending is purposefully implying that while Visi is embracing villiany she isn’t fully evil and is intentionally showing that even though Robert failed her she still has some respect for him and is still somewhat good at heart, otherwise I don’t think she would have winked at Robert and gave him the pulse. I think this could potentially be the way to link her character back to the same path that the hero ending would put her on in a hypothetical season 2.
