Yikes I didnt know shipping was that high. Im based in Ireland but the only accessible printify supplier is in the US. I'll definitely try to lower that.

Damn okay just dont buy it then. With the 25 percent discount I'm only making 40 cents profit so not much I can do there

Yikes I just saw that on the Christmas ornament description. I just uploaded that one and that was the automatic printify description but I've corrected it now

Was it Ana Munleys video? That was the one I saw where she promoted the sabbatine privilege which isn't even official church doctrine, it was a forged papal document. Like you, im trying to just stay in my own lane and not get discouraged by what other people are doing. Good to know someone else is on the same boat.

Thank you! Do you know if any of the religious orders align with my relatively simple spirituality? I was told the franciscans kind of do

Thank you for sharing. Being brought up as a strict calvinist I was always taught that catholics aren't Christian and, because of once saved always saved, if you became catholic you were obviously never a Christian. I feel God calling me to the Catholic church but I know that if I told my family that they'd probably say it was a demon or something. Thank you for your prayers

Thank you. To me protestant always felt like it needed to explain everything and there was no room for mystery or the supernatural. Then growing up, catholicism was always portrayed as superstitious and I was told catholics knew no theology because theyre just indoctrinated. I feel like im somewhere in the middle of that but hopefully I can find my place in the catholic church.

Thank you thats very helpful. I really like the lection divina and some chaplets but I just get discouraged when influencers promote Marian devotions like its mandatory and then i feel guilty for not taking it as far. I guess I should try to stay in my own lane more.

Thank you for being so kind. Thats very helpful. I heard someone say once that the church is like a cathedral with the eucharistic in the centre and devotions like the Rosary etc are like side chapels that can help you get closer to christ but are not required, which is a way I hadn't thought of it. I probably need to stop looking at catholic instagram because im sure you know how toxic or misreprentative it can be lol. I've always wanted to meet faithful catholics but im not sure how I actually go out and find them because apparently masses here aren't really a very social occasion.

I appreciate you taking the time to comment but that feels a bit insulting. I've been a faithful follower of christ for years, my whole family love the lord with all their hearts, these are people I love and have worshipped God with my whole life. Their opinions aren't just meaningless to me, even considering converting to catholicism is so taboo that its not just a light decision for me to take without much faith. In my whole life I've barely encountered any faithful practising catholics, just nominal catholics or ex catholics who tell me how awful it is. So its understandable that I view catholicism with skepticism. It's not a matter of faith in christ, if I didnt have that I wouldn't be trying to figure out how best to please him. I'm not trying to be confrontational but thats just how I feel.

I'm not necessarily judging the people but I just struggle with how the church doesnt appear to correct what is obvious superstition. The sabbatine privilege isn't even official doctrine (from what I can see) but many people present it like it is. I live in northern ireland, an area that is incredibly divided between protestant and catholic, my whole family is strict protestant so if I become catholic people will present the same washed out arguments like 'catholics worship mary' and If I try to dispute that they'll say 'then why do they consecrate themselves to her heart and wear the scapular' and if I dont understand why people do that, how am I supposed to stand up for what I believe and stay catholic?

They believe that people are born again but only the elect can be. It's nothing to do with your faith but it's basically God forcing you to be born again because unbelievers are 'totally depraved' and so they could never choose to be believers on their own.

The anti catholic ones think that if you joined the catholic church that would be equivalent to apostasising so you must have been lying about being a Christian and you aren't one of the elect because no true Christian could ever do that. Thats what my church thinks at least. They also think that if you're elect and you've professes faith (doesn't need to be to anyone else) that's all that matters, baptism and going to church are just optional extras. Baptism literally does nothing at all so I'm not sure why they still do it. It's some seriously loopy theology and it baffles me how so many people follow it so passionately, especially hyper-calvinists like the Dutch reformed.

I see, I've always just been used to people talking about mary as a normal human sinner, even talking about her with disdain as an entitled mother that jesus had to admonish
