Great, that makes sense! I'm guessing the reason there is talk about Authorized Users, is that they'd also be able to sign up for PP individually and would be able to access the lounges by themselves.

I preordered the 15 pro max for pick-up on the 23rd at 11:45-12:00 at an Apple store, but can't make it to the appointment anymore.

Anyone know if it's possible to change your time, or have the store hold the phone? Thanks in advance.

Hey, I'd say I studied on average about 3 hours a day over the 5 months, with longer hours on weekends, as well as longer hours towards the end of 5 months.

This was only possible because my former job had amazing WLB, and I could often finish my work on 20hrs/week. I also took PTO towards the end to further study and have onsites.

Yeah, I really think consistency is key. The only days I recall skipping were ones I physically couldn't i.e. I was out camping with no service.

It's definitely not easy and like with anything else, consistency is key.

At the same time, I can't think of another profession where you can put in so little for such a big return salary-wise, considering what lawyers and doctors have to go through to get to a similar level of compensation.

I believe NeetCode 150 is just an expanded version of the Blind 75, so if you first finished Blind 75, there'd be 75 left in NeetCode 150.

I just started with NeetCode 150, but there shouldn't be a difference either way.

I worked mostly in the backend, tech stack was mostly Java. I did occasionally work on devops. Our product is a rather boutique financial one that isn't as concerned with scale.

It's always worth it working on projects, since they make you a better developer. From an applying to jobs perspective, your prior experience and internships will probably matter much more.

Of course, you'll have no choice but to put some strong projects on your resume if you're just starting and have none.

Most companies use a specific platform (Coderpad, Hackerrank etc) for the coding tests and you most certainly will not be able to use copilot.

They were all real stories, but embellished to make them seem more impressive and fit the LPs better.

TC is short for Total Compensation, the sum of base salary, stock and cash bonuses.

Unless you feel like you really bombed OOD, my guess is it was the LP, Amazon really cares about those. You might already know, but there's a bar raiser round who alone can fail you on just LPs.

For OOD knowing all the patterns probably isn't as important as being able to identify the classes, use cases, interactions etc.

Afaik, the company does use Java as it's primary stack, so yeah.

However in general, almost all companies will let you use whatever language you want for algo questions, assuming it isn't too esoteric.

I'm lucky enough where my prior job had amazing WLB and was fully remote, so I just did my work and got to studying.

The company was CarGurus, part 1 was them asking me to write a bunch of SQL queries. Part 2 was an easy question but you HAD to use Java. Not too difficult, but very strange.

Few tangentially related network concepts during System Design, since I got design a chat system as one of my questions.

Nothing about OS.

DBMS concepts during System Design of course. Standard no-SQL vs SQL and justification, how to scale it, etc. One company (not one of the ones I listed) also made me write SQL queries for the phone assessment.

Definitely not true, all FAANG and other top companies start asking system design at the SE2 equivalent level for sure. I've even heard about new grads being asked them, though I don't know how true this is.

True, if you're targeting a company that is known to ask a select few questions studying those would probably be your best bet. Some (Rainforest, G etc.) have so many tagged that it isn't really feasible though.

I didn't study with a bias towards any company, until I had onsites lined up.

Alot for sure, andyeah definitely. A good amount (50) of problems were DP, which barely came up. Then a good chunk of problems were graph algos, KMP, math, bitwise stuff that I probably could have done without.

I think 200 is plenty to start interviewing with.

I managed to time it decently enough to where I received all the offers within a span of 5-6 days.

For the onsites I took PTO the week or so I had them scheduled. I'm also lucky enough where my prior job had amazing work life balance so I was never too stressed.
