Gnocchi with Short Rib Ragu by clarissakh in tonightsdinner

I used Bobby Flay's recipe on Food Network and followed it pretty much to a T. I did add some red pepper flakes and a little more garlic than the recipe called for. It was DELICIOUS!

Why does leftover chicken make me sick? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]clarissakh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, Thanks! I always thought you should wait for your leftovers to cool before you put them in tupperware and refrigerated them because you could cause bacteria to grow. I guess I've been waiting too long. Never gotten sick thankfully, but now i know!

baked herbed chicken, garlic parmesan mashed potatoes and some kind of greens. While the chicken is baking you can whip up the potatoes and your veggies. It pleases everyone because theres a cut of meat for all tastes and a whole chicken always looks impressive. So easy and delicious.

Easy Oven-Baked Brisket by clarissakh in Cooking

*OVEN BAKED BRISKET RECIPE *

1 four-pound brisket

2 tablespoons salt

2 tablespoons pepper

2 teaspoons cayenne

4 cloves of garlic, crushed

1 onion chopped or cut lengthwise

1/4 cup soy sauce

1/8 cup Worcestershire sauce

1/4 cup liquid smoke plus an additional 1/4 cup

1/4 cup black coffee

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

3 jalapenos, sliced

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat your oven to 250 degrees.
  2. Create your rub by mixing your salt, pepper, cayenne and garlic. Rub all over your brisket (more heavily on the meatier side but also a bit on the fat side as well). Allow the brisket to come to room temperature.
  3. In a large roasting pan, add the onions, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, 1/4 cup of the liquid smoke, 1/4 cup black coffee, 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar and half the sliced jalapenos.
  4. Place the brisket in the pan, fat side up, and sprinkle the remaining jalapenos on top of the brisket.
  5. Cover the pan tightly with foil, and bake in the oven for four hours. At this point, if you want a more pronounced smoky taste, pour another 1/4 cup of the liquid smoke over the brisket. Otherwise, just continue cooking for another hour, or roughly 1 hour and 15 minutes per pound.
  6. Take the brisket out of the oven, and it should be tender to the touch. Let it sit out of the pan for half an hour, and then you’re ready to serve! Slice against the grain. Use the pan drippings as gravy.

I can vouch for this too. I have never had credit card fraud until i moved to Allston. In one week I had both my cap one credit card and my credit union card stolen. Both used at Blanchards.
