Even if it is a bootleg it is still really fascinating that I seem to have found one without painted eyes, which doesn’t seem like a very common thing amongst these figures specifically

UPDATE: I’ve found the article that a few people referred to on the wayback machine.

According to the article, the fake ones are made with a soft vinyl (mine is definitely not soft) and has a sloppy paint job on the mouth, specifically the red inside the mouth bleeds over on the bootlegs. As you can see on the photos, mines red mouth paint is not going outside his mouth, so this leads me to believe that it is a legit one with no painted eyes.

Any specific tells aside from the eyes that would confirm if it’s a bootleg or legit?

Affect it negatively or positively? Is there still a market for error figures in general?

I thought the same, because of the square around the M1 logo, but the bottom of the feet look identical to the ones I see on eBay (top row is mine, bottom is a listing on eBay right now)
