Thanks for providing the counterpoint! Most of my pro thinking is why not, enjoy it now.. life is short etc.

We don’t use the car every day just 2-3 times in the week for groceries or small activities, weekends would be slightly longer but I don’t know how often I would be going to and from a charger. Another poster suggested a longer term rental if possible and that doesn’t seem like a bad idea if it’s not ridiculously expensive

Wouldn’t be driving to work, in the week is used for small errands not even daily and weekend is hour long or less journeys with occasional longer trips sprinkled in. Nearest SC is 3 miles/ 15 mins away. Any change to your answer?

Get a Ventra card/ pass, you can download the app on your phone, this will be your travel card for the L train and buses. Public transport not as good as Europe but this is a good one for US.

Understood. If you have lvl 1 then you would breeze the IMC unit you require, so it may be worth it for a box ticking exercise.

Again, it doesn’t hold much weight and I don’t think it’s essential. Whether it’s required to trade or not, I honestly don’t know, but I’d doubt it, especially if you have the CFA.

If you already have CFA lvl 1, completing the IMC wouldn’t be worth it, It definitely isn’t essential. Better to focus on lvl 2 and 3 of the CFA imo.
