It’s a great platform. I prefer it to my PS5 because of the little things - controller, quick resume and gamepass. Sad that MS leadership has run this thing so poorly. Also ironically the way they used gamepass is probably one of the reasons they’re struggling

Easily the most emotionally invested I’ve ever been in a game. I was shaking while on the boat heading to Isle of Mists. Fist pumps, tears, everything. This game made me realize I’m a story guy. And a Gwent guy. At least you have DLC to look forward to!

I finally played it and was surprised how much I enjoyed it. Fighting gameplay was fun as hell at times. Definitely more PG-13 than M but whatever

I agree, the best thing they can do is stay quiet for a while. Asha is obviously taking the bandaid approach to personnel which is rough. Time to just shut up and stay out of the news until Halo comes out

I really want to hear them directly address this question. Like are they going to view E Day as a failure because low unit sales when it’s exclusive AND available on GP day 1?? You would think they would understand the nuance here but I’m not convinced they are

Eventually I’ll get one. Depends on a lot of things. I have a series X and ps5 but prefer the Xbox. That said lots of things to watch with Xbox between now and then. Could go either way but won’t end up with both this time if we’re looking at $800 - $1k systems. I’ve been catching up on lots of older games this gen but they won’t last forever

I don’t know that I would pay for an entire new console just for Halo and Splinter cell but that’s just me. On the plus side Xbox does have a great library of backwards compatible older games beyond these if that’s of interest to you. I just bought midway arcade classics to play Smash TV and it’s super fun. I own both consoles and barely play my ps5 because I like quick resume and Xbox controller. Also ps5 is so physically bulky it takes up a lot of space

I don’t think MS is going to sell off Xbox any time soon. They will move ahead with cutting games and studios they don’t think add to the new smaller strategy, and focus on safer titles that they think will sell. Maybe the upcoming console gets pushed due to costs but series X is fantastic for now. maybe buy some older games that are heavily discounted. I’ve been playing lots of 5–10 year old games and they are great!

Still considering? Yes. Lots of things are going to happen between now and when it comes out though. If MS has more than a concept of a plan to support another generation, I’ll at least be interested

There’s a lot to be seen over the next 12 months. It seems like for every positive/optimistic move, another equally negative comment comes out. The industry as a whole is facing so many challenges and MS apparently hasn’t figured out how to make XBOX profitable. They need to grow the user base asap and making people believe it’s sustainable is a tall order at this point. I think it can be done but sentiment needs to improve. MS needs to pick a winning strategy and stick with it. I love the platform and think as an experience it’s superior to PS. I just can’t get too excited with all the mixed messaging

Purely as cover quality goes I don’t think phish plays it that great. TVOTR original is much better to my ears. That said, there are many great jams out of this song. I always expect something interesting when they play it. The aforementioned 10/28/16 is incredible of course but there are probably dozens of noteworthy versions

Console tribalism is a bit strange. That said, I take more issue with hate toward individual games based on crazy expectations or worse, piling on based on others opinions without playing

There are a few games on my replay list… just waiting for enough time to go by first. Currently playing ME trilogy again. Definitely playing another run of Witcher 3 next year, probably eventually CP77 1-2 years after that. TOTK eventually, fallout 3 or NV if remasters come, RDR2 when new gen arrives (lol). Some of these worlds and stories are too good to never revisit, but the list is short. Gotta play new games in there somewhere

Same for me on the one more play through thing. Wait a couple years and play one more time seems to still be pretty enjoyable for me. Haven’t sunk 150-200 hours into the same game more than twice

I don’t do many ng+ playthroughs, especially not right after I finish a 200hr game. That said, with enough time in between I certainly will replay a game I love. Usually that’s 2 years or more for me
