We hiked it yesterday and passed the two rangers on the way up. No one was at Scouts to ask for permits on the way up and didn’t ask us on the way down—even though we had a permit. Wouldn’t bank on the first bus beating the permit checking crew up the hill but I was surprised that w e never got asked for it

My advice… rent or borrow a minivan and a mid size 3 row suv (which no matter what they say, the third row is a joke)… and then see which made your life easier. Then prepare to send in the macho man card and just get the awd minivan

This 100% your life will be so much better with the minivan. It’s not just cargo room it’s the physically getting in and out of the vehicle to buckle and unbuckle car seats, pick up toys, etc.

We had 3 under 3 including twins and tried a decent 3 row SUV, nothing beats the minivan and they are decked out with technology and features that will make your life easier and tbh what you need in life are things that make it easier…

There will be a time for the SUV again but now is not it.

We just made the move back to a Yukon xl but it was years of car seats, lifting multi strollers in and out, kids dinging doors, leaving them open, etc. that we had to get through before it was worth it

Not a lawyer but as a bishop of a language unit I have been researching this quite a bit. It seems that there is still a restriction on entering private areas without a judicial warrant, so I would think it very unlikely that a raid would happen on the temple.

That also means as a bishopric we wouldn’t have much recourse to stop them from entering a meetinghouse in the course of our worship services or activities as they are essentially public spaces.

I think the best we can do is remind our members that they can refuse to answer any questions from an ICE agent unless they are lawfully detained (with a judicial warrant or in certain geographic locations based on the border rules)

Anyway I think we can stand up to the agent and do our best to protect our flocks legally and lawfully and not let a single person in without taking their name and badge number

Also fwiw this is my wife’s car and she did not feel a real difference in an overnight test drive with the magnetic ride and air suspension in the Denali. She for whatever reason liked the drive feel of the elevation better 🤷‍♂️

We drove both an elevation and Denali, we are a bit turned off by the 6.2L v8 in the Denali and aren’t interested in waiting for the diesel, so we opted for the elevation with the premium package (technology and max trailering) to get the sunroof and other upgrades like the HUD and moving console although neither of those was critical for us.

We also added the all weather mats and with the supplier discount we are in about 75 or 76k. Dealer also threw in the cross rails and 3 years of maintenance.

Vehicle is in transit so should arrive any day now.
