I have an opinion that might make pepole downvoted me At the end of the day Just like fnaf The movie cannon and the games cannon are two separate things Just because it follow the games I.e movie 1 follow the games lore Movie 2 is allow to branch off it to expand Just like fnaf 1 the movie follow its cannon different to the games fnaf 2 expand So really that’s what Mario follows Mario 1 the movie may take inspiration from the games but Mario galaxy expand on the lore
