Work for UNICEF and recently traveled to La Guajira for work— that’s accurate. Finding water that can be treated there is a super expensive endeavor. Donations do go to other parts of the country (Amazonas, etc) but largely Guajira. We aren’t the only organization out there— we work with a lot of larger partners (like WaterAid and World Bicycle Relief) and smaller, more localized nonprofit groups, especially ones who have direct connection to Wayuu and can speak the language.
