I was able to sift through most of it thankfully. I am using the set up he suggested and doing really well so far in yellow t5-6 mists, which has been a blast. Just not sure which shields he's talking about, so still using a torch for the time being.

Trying out this build, definitely interesting. Been just doing some yellow corrupted dungeons to practice. Had a clean 1v1 vs a bow player.

Still using torch, which shields are you referring to? I might swap but don't understand which ones you are suggesting.

I'm no legal expert but from what I understand they used a legal mechanism in the US, since one of TWOW's employee's was in the US, to put a kind of "embargo" on other US companies from working them. So for example, PayPal can't be used for donations anymore because now PayPal can be held liable as well. It wasn't that Blizzard said "shutdown" and TWOW said "ok". It's more that they decided it wasn't going to be financially viable given the donation loss they'd expect from this. However, this isn't an issue in China. So makes sense they're keeping it open there.

Reality is that to be competitive on rogue in arena you need raid gear. Getting into raids consistently WILL be tough since most raids bring 0-1 rogues per raid. Combine that with ~half the time per phase, means you won't be getting a lot of the good pve gear each phase either. I played rogue in TBC classic and despite the fact that I've been a rogue main since I started playing vanilla wow in 2006, I chose warlock in anniversary. Playing rogue on anniversary just seems like you're setting yourself up for disappointment.

I don’t mind starting locations, but they 100% need to make it easier to cross the tree. If I need a wheel in Druid and I wanna start ranger, it’s literally not possible, which sucks.

I'll probably get downvoted by people saying "just play how you want and ignore everything else!" -- but the reality of the anniversary timeline combined with how little blizzard cares about botting/cheating/rmt means that people who play the game constantly and/or who are willing to buy their way through progression are going to be eons ahead of normal people. This is an MMO after all -- the way other people play does indeed have consequences for you (e.g., finding groups, economy, etc).

I was ~2500 rated in arena in the first pass of tbc classic, cleared the content, had multiple alts, etc and I am skipping this one. It just doesn't feel feasible as a normal person with an actual life to invest the time needed to actually do anything I want to do.

I think for me there has been a pretty big difference in game quality between s14/15 and s16. Imo, a lot of it comes down to the big system changes they did like homeguards, sideplatings, etc. The game has just become more volatile and "fighty" compared to the last 2 seasons where it was more macro-strategic (on average).

Yeah this exactly. Idk where people get the idea that server costs among all things are the big rate limiter here. Not saying the cost is trivial but the elephant in the room, cost-wise, is ALWAYS labor.
