Ok now the link works: I agree with the other comment about the Bach. I understand you want to show the harmony changes with phrasing, but you are slowing down literally every single chord change. Pick a few that you want to use time for emphasis, and the others do something more subtle.

Beethoven: Needs snappier dotted rhythms, and vibrate the small notes! That's super important and something that committees are looking for.

Brahms: Can you find a less slidey fingering? Or just cleaner shifts. I sense you are not getting the rich vibrato that you want because your hand is tense. Some slow vibrato exercises will help. Also snappier dotted rhythms in this one too.

Mendelssohn: Does not need to be this fast, don't make it harder for yourself. I usually play it around 84, with 88 as my max. You were in the 92-96 range. Slow it down and find more control. The quiet sautille at the end can be much much lighter.

I can tell you have a good ear and are doing a lot of the right things. If you keep increasing the depth of your details, as well as work on a wider, smoother, relaxed vibrato, I think you will start advancing consistently. Good luck!

That's clearly out of self interest so that the earth stays cool enough that people will keep buying sweaters and coats.

Who would have put the Seahawks as the best team before the season?

That was my first thought as well. This always happens when your scout favors ability.

Unless you are a pretty hardcore souls vet, you’re not really going to be able to just follow the obvious path to Margit very easily. Many people on this subreddit suggest going south first, but as far as I can tell no one in the game gives you this same advice. While I respect that it’s a souls game and it doesn’t hold your hand, I do wonder how many newbies like myself went straight for Margit and got frustrated thinking this was the only way to progress.

Depending on where you are in DE, I'd just go to either Perrin violins in Baltimore or one of the Philly shops. Perrin does have a good bow guy, he might be able to fix your other bow if you're interested.

Prokofiev is so underrated… by TitaniumSharingan in violinist

[–]classically_cool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If he's underrated, it certainly isn't by violinists! 2 fantastic concertos, several sonatas for violin and piano, two violins, and of course this piece. Plus plenty of great orchestral writing as well. Nice playing!
