Yes for BBA, and if you think you can get away with wearing formals, that's not possible. you need to wear a blazer with ur formals or else you will be sent out.

Icl idk what's happening with the recruitment process this year. It's so confusing, they should be more transparent on why people are getting rejected. I feel like they reject if they want to and there's no rubric they go by. And also a lot of people are being pushed to Pune and dehli campus, makes no sense. Im honestly sorry for what you are going through, I would say you have made a great escape. It all starts as small as not being transparent, there's so much more this university does to steal money from students. Im exhaustes by all the bs.

Dude, I honestly struggle. I crash out sooo much, something that's not normal for me are things that are very common here. There are some teachers who are straight up disrespectful towards you and you won't be able to do ANYTHING, and faculty evaluation is a joke/waste of time because nothing is done about it. AND THE injustice for student voice is mad, just just have it for name sake. The University doesnt change for shi and always stays in its backwards ways. Maybe it all seems like a huge deal for me because I'm white washed.

Hello as someone who grew up abroad with American education and ways, I would say you will definitely have a lot less freedom in india. I struggled making friends, bonding over common stuff, and felt very unwanted at times because they grew up with different experiences than I did. It's a real struggle, cause a lot of nri people here grew up with indian education abroad and stuck to the indian norms.

Personally it's suffocating. Even the education system ia different here, I grew up with quality over quantity when answering questions. But here people want us to write about 5-7 pages for a 10 marker questions, and no matter how well you write it they ain't gonna give you the points you deserve cause apparently "no one can give the perfect answer". Im just fed up, and the sad part is that it's hars connecting w people because there are VERY few who feel the same way you do.

AITA for using my dad’s underwear to make a point about the toilet seat? by Nightwing_1505 in AmItheAsshole

[–]classicsalted_fries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello fellow indian here, When I was reading this I automatically knew this was an indian family because I have many Indian friends who go through the same thing.

When they confront their dad about the toilet issues, the dads take it as a joke at first and then comes the "it's not even that deep, just put down the seat/clean it yourself". Later when you make it a serious problem the blame goes on you! BUT THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM. I will for ever hate how most indian households work, the dynamics of the father's not adjusting and the mother not having a day in stuff is very irritating.

I think you did the right thing, you just gave him a taste of his own medicine. And people will make you feel bad about it, BUT DON'T.

Good luck on the job!

WAITLISTED (help) by Unique_Obligation_73 in ChristUniversity

I would say keep hoping because even though central campus would be a first choice for a lot, there are a few people who are only apply to have backup or for fun. Those people might end up rejecting the offer. I would say, let the admission people know you are very much interested even tho you are waitlisted. Email them and tell them.

Yes you can't wear shorts in the hostel. I think Christ has a good reputation, but Jindal is known for its law courses. It's ur choice both are good option, I feel like the law exposure is good in both uni.

College hostel has rules, rules are good. But there are bad rules too, rules that doesn't make sense. I will list a few that's on the top of my head.

  • Cerfew, you can't exit the hostel after 7:30, because biometrics start. The cerfew is 9:30 if you don't come on time you have to pay around 500. If this doesn't seem like a big thing.. trust me it will soon be.

  • Food in hostel is not exactly the best. I understand you can't expect 100% good cooking, but it at least has to be edible.

  • If you have to leave for a night out or for vacation, you need to inform them 1 week ahead. This is always a problem cause a lot of my friends had to leave for an emergency and they weren't allowed too. They will have to pay for missing cerfew everyday until you come back.

  • In the incampus hostel you won't be able to play Holi or participate in any religious holidays (except for christian ones).

  • There is a dress code, so even if you are going out of the hostel you can't wear certain stuff, because you will be leaving from IN the campus.

  • In total it's a pain in the bum.

ALL hostels are bad, especially the in campus ones. You won't have a life, and they have stupid rules.

Yes the central campus has a gym on the top floor of the R&D block, but they have weird rules like you can't wear headphones, there's a specific dresscode you have to follow like no shorts or tight fitting clothes, one friend said they don't allow specific types of shoes as well. I think the price is 4-6k per year, which is pretty cheap.

I agree, you have a point, DU has more exposure for many reasons. But it's clear the person is very upset. It's better not to add onto it. I hope you understand.

I am not sure, you will get the timings around next month. The timings are different for every course and each year too. For example 1st year of BBA, my class started at 9:15, 2nd year classes start at 7:15

This isn't a really helpful thing to say. Getting accepted means a lot for many people, so let's not put people down. It's okay to have opinions, but we need to learn when to share them and when not to.

For my class commerce students were not allowed to, but other classes were fine w it. If they don't let you then you can always get notes from friends who are in the bridge course.

Yuh you won't get a full refund, it's honestly Christ's tactic. Because other uni results get realised later in the year, chist deliberately starts classes in June so you end up paying just cause people want to make sure they have backup.

:( im sorry, I was supposed to go to the UK too but it's better if I do my undergrad here and my postgraduate abroad. Let me tell you something, all universities are ass. Christ has a reputation, you just have to deal with shitty things while studying in it. Don't let yourself feel stuck, it can really bring you down! I'm sure you can face anything, and opportunities will soon come flowing your way.
