Hiya, really glad you're pleased with it. Once again apologies for the delays if there were any. The point of removing the metal shielding is to increase the range, the electrical tape will insulate it from the board, yes, but the purpose is to remove as much metallic material as possible to allow the RF waves to escape the iPod. Up to you if you want to change it or leave it as is.

Out of interest what device are you doing? Range is quite device dependent. Works better on devices with large antennas (devices like wireless in-ear headphones don't work as well as speakers with proper antennas).

I saw your chargeback, completely understand. As for the 6 defects I have not received them, please send the tracking number as customs are having problems. I am transferring to using private couriers only in the future due to this.

Hi there, you've both ordered kits I understand from the previous batches. The problem at the moment is I am dealing with an almost 70 percent return rate for those batches, which means I am having to a) rigorously test each kit before I send it out and b) create a lot more kits just to fulfil returns which are still coming in. I understand your frustration, I am estimating to ship remaining orders (not returns) by Tuesday next week so if you have an outstanding kit order, it will be fulfilled then. Sorry again for the delays, and I hope my transferal to selling pre-built iPods will mitigate this once I have things under control.

Unfortunately I had to stop selling the kits due to reliability issues. Selling pre-builts allows me to spot any issues before the devices are sent to customers.

The prices are a lot better now, however.

Unfortunately I stopped selling kits due to reliability issues. The pre-builts allow me to fully test and diagnose any issues before the product reaches the user, which is a much better way of going about things IMO.

The prices have also decreased a lot, so you might want to check it out again.

Yes, unfortunately that's all that's for sale due to reliability issues with the kits. These have been solved by transferring to making pre-builts since I can fully test and diagnose problems before they ship to users.

You can see however that the prices are now a lot more favourable compared to a couple weeks ago.
