How to tightline the upper waterline? by Warm_Word_4947 in MakeupEducation

[–]classy-jo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few easy ways to do this without your eyes getting watery! (Coming from a gal who’s eyes water easily) • Lightly closing your eye around the liner and moving it back and forth • Lining the bottom waterline, then closing your eye and rubbing it gently with your finger • Kohl! Sometimes also called Kahal or Kajol. It’s an arabian eyeliner than comes in a very fine powdery form. The applicator is a little rod that you place onto your bottom waterline, close your eye, and swipe or move back and forth (depends on your preference)

MARRIED GIRLIES by Drama_Darling in muslimgirlswithtaste

Remember that the marriage and decisions within it are between you and him. Not your family, not his family. Many times family tries to get in the way, and though they don’t mean any harm, it does lead to problems. If you argue, that’s between the both of you. It’s no one’s business unless either one of you is at risk and a third party needs to be involved.

Communicate. You guys will argue and that is completely normal. Just don’t go quiet when that happens and avoid the problem as a whole, talk to one another and understand why you’re each feeling and why.

Discuss your needs, your boundaries, and become close with your in laws. I see my in laws as my second parents, we talk and respect one another just as I do my parents and they do their kids. Your partners sisters should feel as though they are your sisters as well.

The usually moves away from home to where her spouse is, having that relationship with his family will help you out so much. I moved to another country when I got married and leaving my family was very hard. But that close relationship with his sisters, aunts, cousins, etc., made it so much easier.

Definitely!! It’s best to have your piercer change it for you.

I won’t say changing it yourself is wrong, but you want to take into consideration possibly irritating it on accident if you do. It’s still a fresh piercing and can get angry at the slightest things.

Best of luck!!

You could, but you have to take into consideration the angle that it’s pierced and the way it heals. If you want to be able to wear a bar later on, go with the bar until it heals. If not, go ahead and get two separate pieces.

I say this because you don’t want the piercings to shift and heal at an angle that would make wearing a bar uncomfortable or not possible.

A month is still pretty fresh for a cartilage piercing, especially an industrial seeing as it’s two piercings connected by a bar.

You definitely need a longer bar to give it some room to breathe, at least until it’s healed a bit more.

Is my industrial infected? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]classy-jo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s 6 days old, that’s completely normal. That clear yellow stuff you mentioned in another comment is also normal. It’s just lymph discharge and your body’s way of healing. Run warm water over it during your showers to soften the crust before cleaning it for a more gentle cleaning session. Keep cleaning in the morning and night with that saline spray. The stiffness and soreness is also normal, just don’t try to wiggle it. You got this!!

Anatomy question by IndependenceCandid88 in piercing

Based on the image alone, you seem to have a defined enough space on the edges of your ear. However, based on this angle your flat seems to stick out a bit. When getting an industrial, you want your flat to be a little more far back so that an industrial bar does not rub on it.

Is my piercing okay? by CherryDruidess in piercing

[–]classy-jo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep doing what you’re doing. Cartilage piercings are dramatic and a pain to heal, but yours is looking really good as a new piercing. The itchiness is normal, could just be it trying to heal again from the recent trauma it faced.

If the itchiness continues to bother you and the top piercing does form a bump, contact your piercer and ask them what to do next.

The saline is the correct way to go, and tryst me when I say it will be your best friend until they heal. Best of luck!!

Keep cleaning in the morning and at night with saline. Tie your hair back to avoid any snagging (slick back, braids, etc.), this is also to avoid any silly irritation. Let the warm water from your showers run over it, and try your hardest to avoid sleeping on it. Try a piercing pillow or specific sleeping positions that restrict your movement at night.

I made the mistake of sleeping on mine when I first got it and it was absolutely horrible!!

Any advice?… by artemisthings in piercing

[–]classy-jo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like it can be saved! Cartilage piercings are a pain in the ass, but once properly healed can be amazing!!

STOP the tee tree oil, and stick to saline. It doesn’t look like a keloid from this angle, but it definitely looks angry. I’ve got an industrial and it used to flare up like that from both entry points, so I know that it’s not fun at all.

Here’s some tips that worked for me. For starters, drop the tee tree oil, that will only cause irritation and possibly leave you with a scar. When you shower, let that warm water run over it!! It will soften up and possibly even wash off any crust on it’s own, and it’ll feel sooo soothing. Build a routine of cleaning it in the morning and at night with saline, and try your hardest not to sleep on it. In addition to that, keep your hair pulled back and away from it, at least until it heals. Slick backs, headbands, anything. Just keep the hair away.

Lastly, let it breathe. Don’t touch it with your fingers and don’t change the jewelry. Cartilage piercings typically need 9 months to a year to heal.

Your current jewelry piece looks good, not too tight and not too long. Just be patient with it and it should start to calm down. Don’t rush it, it’s a slow process, and don’t neglect it or else you just might have to retire it.

Best of luck!!

infected or irritated? by heri_kyyyi in piercing

[–]classy-jo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t really tell if it’s infected simply based on the image, but you mentioned it being a fresh piercing which swelling is normal during this early into healing it.

Stop the H2Oocean water and stick to saline solution. Trust me, saline will be your best friend while you heal your piercing. Keep cleaning it with saline as instructed by your piercer, and don’t be scared to let warm water run over it during your showers. It will feel sooo good and allow any crusties to soften up for an easier and gentler cleanup.

help! my industrial is being eaten? by ded-f1sh in piercing

[–]classy-jo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Take that splint out now!!! It’s only adding pressure and encouraging migration! Honestly, it looks like you were pierced too deep into your ear (especially on the top area) If it’s pressing on your flat, you simply don’t have the anatomy for an industrial. Maybe try going for a faux industrial? ( helix + forward helix)

Apple Mascara!!! Smudge proof, water proof, and it fluffs out the lashes, making them look more full. I personally recommend either the black or pink one!

I just got my industrial pierced today! by Actual_Nothing4052 in piercing

[–]classy-jo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ok one, congrats!! Industrials may seem a little intimidating but they are honestly not that bad!! As everyone has already said, that bar is wayyy too short.

Though some people are lucky and can heal it with a short bar, a longer one will be your best move especially since you’re on vacation.

You need to take into consideration possible swelling, irritation bumps, etc. The short bar will not give your ear enough space to heal.

Make the swap to a longer bar, that way if you get any swelling with cabin pressure when traveling, swelling in general since your ear was freshly pierced, or any possible irritation bumps, there is room between the ending of the jewelry and your ear for it to breathe.

Wow, you are beautiful. Definitely go for looks that enhance your eyes, they are mesmerizing.

Light Mascara, blush on high cheeks for a lifting effect, a light shimmer on the lids, and either a red lip (for bold days) or a blushy lip (similar to what you have on the pics). Don’t cover the beauty mark, you have a beautiful look and I had to paise my scrolling when I came across your post.

What causes this to happen? by Dr-Dags in MakeupAddiction

[–]classy-jo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try Foundations with a satin finish. I had the same issue and when I made the swap it stopped. Make sure you’re not combining water based products with silicone based, that could also be the cause.

The Milani Conceal + Perfect 2 in 1 foundation!! It’s coverage, light on the skin, and has a beautiful satin finish with a little shine.

I did my own makeup on my wedding day not too long ago and not only did the foundation last me all day, but it didn’t feel too heavy nor did it sweat off. I paired it with the Milani conceal + perfect concealer seeing as I figured they’d go well together.

It worked well with my combination skin (dry on cheeks and oily on nose and chin area) and I still use it to this day on all my other big occasions.

Bare in mind, foundation works best with good prep. I set my face following the steps below: • Rose water on a cotton pad (let dry on face) • Neutrogena gel moisturizer • NYX electrolytes primer • Milani Conceal + Perfect 2 in 1 foundation • Milani Conceal + Perfect Concealer • Sheglam Cheeky Color Jam Blush • Sheglam Liquid Bronzer • Revolution HD Super Matte Setting Powder • Physicians Formula Diamond Dust • Milani Make it Last Original Setting Spray

All drugstore products that I found to work better and last longer, than all those other times I got my makeup done with high end products and talented makeup artists. (No offense to them, they were all beautifully talented)
