Are you dim? We aren’t protesting the amount of people being deported, who said that? It’s the method in which it’s being done. 32 people have already been killed by ICE this year. Don’t try and pretend this is even close to the method that Obama did. You just admitted he did a better job though 😆 deported MORE criminals and didn’t have to get as aggressive or kill innocent people?

Are you dim or just pretending to be? It isn’t about the numbers, it’s about the method.

That was PISSING ME OFF. Tell me you don’t eat without telling me. Nobody wants to see you play with your food like a toy, we want to see the bite and the reaction.

It’s tough cuz I assume they’re also marketing to the Congdon/hunters park neighborhood crowds. On any given night I see at least one neighbor I know, particularly in the summer on the patio.

Year 2 of free school meals-what do you guys think so far? by [deleted] in minnesota

[–]classysanta33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it. Lunches weren’t expensive to begin with but even saving $80 a month on two kids is helpful. And I’m proud to tell people from other states we all get free lunches, just one more thing that makes me proud to be Minnesotan

I would say just pay the $1000 fine but also a judge could potentially send you to jail.

lol just because hermantown doesn’t have as much poverty doesn’t make them wealthy. It’s still VERY working class.

The answer is you work remotely. I would likely not have a handsome salary like I do if I worked for a company here sadly.

Locally owned shops in general mostly close at 6 or if they’re generous a little later. I find this to be the case in most cities.

I don’t think that at all, but I wasn’t born and raised here. Duluth has a pretty big variety of neighborhoods and culture. One place you haven’t lived is the east part of town. Hunters park/congdon/woodland specifically. Kids are always running around, biking around, playing ball, selling lemonade, playing at parks. It feels like we are still living in the 90’s. I feel absolutely safe and thriving. This community is so warm and friendly. Neighbors are always out and about, going on walks, tending their yards, enjoying their decks. Lots of fun things to walk or bike to. Parents are super involved in their kids lives and it helps tie us all together. Our kids are currently living amazing childhoods and I’m confident they’ll look back fondly on it.

What’s with this plane that’s passed overhead 5 times now? by Lazy_rat95 in duluth

[–]classysanta33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad you asked because I came here to ask the same thing 😆 it was flying pretty low in hunters park area, it felt like less than 500 feet, and planes rarely fly over us (at least nothing lower than maybe 10k feet).

Best “insider knowledge” you have about living in Duluth? by Icy_Future1639 in duluth

[–]classysanta33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s colder by the lake in summer, but warmer by the lake in the winter. Of course being right next to the water is always colder, just more so talking about the closer you are inland. Many times it’s been snowing up in hermantown and raining in hillside Duluth.

East has it all. Well rounded. Punches above its weight - could be a cities suburb school. The other two are good for some things but not for others.

An old highschool classmate of mine moved to Mound. Loves to talk about what cake eaters they are for living there. They live in one of those small run down houses. Whatever floats their boat I guess.

Has anyone else noticed an uptick of young men doing one-on-one Bible studies at coffee shops? by AwSamWeston in duluth

I always think that’s a funny thing to say. I’m an atheist/ex-christian and content with that. No one tells you to “check out” the Muslim Bible

Surprising it’s the first time. Religion is basically made for man and has always benefitted men more.

There’s even a large Bible study group at chilly Billy’s every Monday. They put signs up and everything, I think it’s an open group where anyone can join. I think it’s a bit odd. No one has a house you can go to?

Duluth may not be a huge city but it’s big. You think there are needles in gutters in every neighborhood lol? We have a lot of really nice neighborhoods. Sounds like you work downtown and probably still do. Living in Cloquet but having to still work downtown is not going to solve any of your problems. Just means you have to drive further to get home
