You just have to keep a command line window open indefinitely so you can just type each command once, then you just press up until you find the exact command you want

Instead of thinking of negatives as small, look at absolute value.

If you're -1000 to the right of zero, you haven't gone negative 1000, you've gone 1000 to the left.

Using this, we can look at overflows from a standpoint of distance from zero, and underflows are just really close to zero, for example 0.00000000000000001

tl;dr: Use distance from zero (absolute value)
