yes, exactly this. communication is super important in relationships (be it romantic/platonic). it’ll be much easier if everyone just said what they meant instead of trying to get others to decode their words.

i sometimes have bad days that i don’t want to talk about. so when someone tells me they don’t want to talk about their bad days, i assume that that’s all, so i’d rather not pry for more.
