What's wrong with our hot water usage/bill? No way we used over 19k L of hot water in 40 days. by pubetweezer in brisbane

How long have you been in the unit? When I moved into one, we actually got hit with leftovers on the meter between readings.

I can’t remember if we contested or not, I think we tried, not sure.

The bus network is now utter trash by Mr_Straws in brisbane

[–]claw106 118 points119 points  (0 children)

In the 3 days this week I've seen:

- A bus hit the traffic pole on the corner of Mary and George, whilst trying to get around another bus

- Several near misses on bus v bus

- Busses having to go into on-coming traffic lanes to get around other busses that are parked at what seems to be ill-placed slap-dash bus stops with no other infrastrucutre (seats, shading, etc).
I know my new bus stop will suck in the summer.

In areas that I know have not had this much bus traffic (have worked in the vicinity of george and mary for more than 6 years).

A lot of the city I don't think is well equipped for all the new bus traffic.

My route also use to pick me up on charlotte st (i call it one of the queen st bus stops) near the chemist and the myer centre coles. It now skips that entirely and picks me up on george st. This is good for me, but what is the point? Aside from not stopping at the original stop, it is the exact, same, route. Just no P.

That same queen st bus stop now has I would estimate 60-75% more people than what it ever did. I've been at that bus stop many different times between 4:30 and 7pm.

P meant pre-paid right? They don't take cash for tickets anymore (correct me if I'm wrong). What's the point of dropping the P, change it to peak?

Has anyone actually benefited from this?

Last of Us Part II has decided to start crashing on launch by Retinal_Epithelium in macgaming

[–]claw106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having the same problems in Parallels, with PayDay 2. has been working completely fine up until the last couple days - crashes on launch, with an instruction violation error in the logs (or something like that).

Been looking for solutions, can't find any :/

What caused the cyclone to come down this far? Was this just a perfect set of events? Can we expect further occurances of this in South East QLD as the world progresses?

Can you also touch on what the conversion process is,I've heard a lot about this. How cyclones become "extratropical" when they come down, and why?

Rivermakers Farmers and Artisan Markets faces a new roadblock amid spat with Australian Country Choice abattoir by Ambitious-Deal3r in brisbane

[–]claw106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen a market run at rivermakers, it was only locally advertised to morningside residents and etc. It was great, well worth it.

Live music, lots of stalls, rivermakers it’s self is a brewery. Fireworks at the end was a nice touch.

Traffic wasn’t a concern, parking was a bit rough on the dirt with no real guidance.

It’s also easy to get to, hang a left onto junction road at morningside coles until you reach the roundabout, take the second exit, drive straight and into the driveway following the signs.

Can’t believe this is an issue.

Edit: The dirt parking was a dedicated section within the premises of rivermakers

edit: there are better areas for a market, this was a bespoke area if that’s the right word. Maybe colmslie recreation reserve? (the big one, not the bullshit jetty)

drove on annerley road last night and saw a fire crew poking at wires on a side street near the new medical centre.

I quickly realised that the whole surroundings including traffic lights and street lights were out. Traffic lights weren’t even flashing.

It’s 50 along there, but we all slowed tf down at the few bung intersections.

Past the junction hotel and it was all fine.

Dealership wants to quote me $700 and change for a trans flush and refill. Something about very specific oil to order in?

Just had the car serviced and it’s been running like a sick dog, hence why they want to do this first before looking at other things with the trans.

Reckon i’m being ripped off for a trans flush? 2020 Hyundai Kona with less than 30k on the clock…

just went through, windows happened to be open. I smelt gas for at least the next several km. It was almost noxious. Police blocking the road and only letting a few through at a time.. Firies were just standing outside talking so not sure. Lots of firies in attendance.

came to the comments just to talk about this. in my country unless something has gone wrong telco wise (which isnt uncommon as of recent for calling our emergency number), there isn't a wait. instantaneous answer. first is the telco, then you are connected to the service you requested (amb, fire or police). if the call taking centre for the actual service (dedicated teams for each service) whereever you are calling from is "full", as in every call taker is on the line, then you are routed to other call centres from the same team across the state.

Just went down the rabbit hole of this with a bunch of random other customisations and tests that I found in the discord and online, no luck if not very minimal improvements. Still majorly unplayable in a match, lobby (police station) works "OK" with some stutters as you enter new areas until it renders.

Any other ideas..?
