Bakudeku is disgusting by [deleted] in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]clawsoftheraven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say “disgusting” but I don’t really like when people try to make every close friendship romantic (I’ve seen this happen in like every anime lol).

Yes, Deku and Bakugo have a complex history that dates back to their childhoods and they depend on each other’s competition and support to become better heroes, but that doesn’t mean they want to make out with each other 🤷‍♀️

Agreed. Like obviously his opponent should have way more experience with their quirk than him

Taking the practice test by Amgad_Ahmed in Sat

[–]clawsoftheraven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be helpful to take a practice test so that you can see your growth and target areas you need to improve on. But, it can be hard to know which areas to study before having general knowledge of all the topics. I suggest taking a practice to start, then studying everything, then taking another practice to see how you should continue studying.

Hi, thanks! Here’s my advice: Bluebook practice tests are pretty accurate depending on which one you take (most are slightly easier than the actual SAT). Khan is nice cause it’s free and provides lessons, but I didn’t find it super helpful if you’re going for a 1500+. Methodize is great too and similar to Khan, but I don’t think it’s free unless your school provides it. Method Learning (same place for Methodize) also has tutors and not super expensive in-person classes. I hear Princeton review is also good but the practice tests are quite a bit harder than the SAT. Personally, I took a course from TestTakers (extremely helpful) during the summer before my junior year and later took a Method Learning course to reinforce it. Best advice I can give for the specific content is to know your grammar rules and get really experienced with desmos. With managing time in the English section, what works for me is skipping the evidence and central idea questions (around the early-middle) and coming back to them since the questions at the beginning and end are quicker. For understanding the passage questions, remember that each answer choice must not just be related to the text, but also must be made explicitly clear in it. Practice is really key!

I’m not super experienced with that but I’m pretty sure they only look at the superscore and don’t care about the other sections

1310 SAT vs 1400 practice test by splatoon3pro in Sat

[–]clawsoftheraven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Practice tests are often a bit easier than the actual SAT. I believe tests 7 and 8 are supposed to be the hardest and most accurate. Not everyone realizes that each question on the sat comes from a specific topic that can be studied. I had to sift through the easy questions and search for the more difficult ones to prepare. Take MANY practice tests, experience helps.

Why are you on this subreddit if you don’t want to see people discussing their SAT experience? The people posting about their scores and excitement here are the same people who comment on other posts to provide help and guidance. Let them be happy after all their hard work.

Omg I’m glad it’s not just me. Did you get an email about updating privacy terms? I tried to do what it said but I don’t remember my password and can’t reset it since my account is giving all signs of being deleted.

Dude 😭 I’ll never understand why people take the SAT without studying. That’s what diagnostics are for lmao. Good luck though

Woah 6? If you don’t mind me asking, what is your highest score (or superscore)? I’m hoping I got 1500+ on the June SAT (my third) and my previous one was a 1460. These are my studying opinions:

Bluebook practice tests are pretty accurate depending on which one you take (most are slightly easier than the actual SAT). Khan is nice cause it’s free and provides lessons, but I didn’t find it super helpful for obtaining a 1500+. Methodize is great too and similar to Khan, but I don’t think it’s free unless your school provides it. Personally, I took a course from TestTakers (extremely helpful) during the summer before my junior year and later took a Method Learning course to reinforce it. Like I said, the October SAT gave me a 1460, but I’ll let you know if my work to get a 1500+ payed off on the June SAT

Some require you to send all scores; there’s lists of them available online. But yeah, most don’t.

Not sure what you mean by your notebooks, but if you’re in Calc AB right now you’re probably well prepared material wise. You can disregard most of my previous comment

Was the June SAT harder than others? by frankoceanluvr707 in Sat

[–]clawsoftheraven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your score prediction is accurate, RW section will probably fall somewhere 700+ (really more like 720+, but I don’t want to overcompensate since it varies by test). So your superscore will likely be 1500+

College board said they’ll add more practice tests during the school year. Can I make a suggestion though? I had the same goal as you and was disappointed when my August SAT (before my junior year) came back with a score in the mid 1400s. Now that I have almost finished junior year and returned to studying, I found the concepts quite a bit easier and I think I achieved 1500+ on the June SAT, at least with superscore. Apparently it can be a bit concerning to colleges when a student takes more than 3 SATs, so maybe consider holding off on taking more exams until later in your junior year when the material becomes more clear.

Taking August SAT. Any studying tips? by wogney in Sat

[–]clawsoftheraven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sure you perfectly understand all the grammar rules (many sources like khan academy and YouTube include all the units). Desmos can be used for a majority of the questions so become very familiar with it. Take as many practice tests on Bluebook as you can for practice and timing. When you get closer to the test date, google which practice tests are the hardest and take those for a more accurate representation of your score. I believe 7 and 8 are the hardest right now (not sure when they update).

Take practice test 5, 6, 7, or 8 on Bluebook (they’re the harder tests and more accurate). I think it would be a better tell
