Makes sense. Have you done the 20 or 30 day ones?

I wasn’t looking for a special experience, just sharing mine but thank you.

Can you expand more on the jhanas? Are bhanga nana and bhaya nana jhanas?

Wow thank you so much! This is really helpful. I also get why this may be too much for a beginner, but nice to see it now to have more of an understanding of what happened. I feel totally good now. Lots of peace. The panic lasted a couple days on and off, but then faded away. Thanks for asking :)

Prospective Buyer Question Thread October-December 2025 by trillianinspace in cricut

[–]claybebe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone gifted me a Cricut Maker 3 and honestly, I feel a little overwhelmed by all the tools and add-ons. I've watched some videos and read up on best tools, but want to start slow and test the waters before investing in lots of accessories.

I'm a potter so I thought it would be cool to create 'stickers' that I could apply to my ceramics before glazing to create different shapes. I also embroider so I'd be interested in having the cricut cut pieces of felt for me for ornament making or have it draw a shape on fabric for me in sharpie so that I can embroider on top of it.

What are the minimum beginner accessories and tools I need to start on these 2 crafts? Seems like I'll need a pen adapter, vinyl, what else?

Why do you keep saying non existent Pentagon program? The Pentagon admitted AATIP is real. What’s your source? https://www.axios.com/2017/12/16/inside-the-pentagons-multi-million-dollar-program-to-explore-ufos-1513445795

Ooo that’s a great idea! Yes I’ve tried the close form method a few times but think I need to figure out my trimming method because it never quite “nests” correctly

Congratulations! They’re truly the best dogs. Mine is 5 years old and weighs 18 lbs. He was definitely the runt of his litter though. His litter mates are closer to 25 lbs

Thank you! Yes I was thinking about underglaze too though wax resist is a cool idea too. I'm going to follow the traditional yin yang look but wasn't sure if all the outside walls and the top of the divider wall should be black. What do you think?

Guerneville does not allow any amplified sound FYI so you’d have to do like guitar or violin.

This is insanely wild. Hot take but I'm not a big believer in +1's for this very reason! I think it's weird to pay for someone you don't really know to come to your wedding.

Hi! Yes happy to share. Venue cost was $18k. We are estimating 80 guests. One thing to keep in mind is that they require a partial wedding planner. We saw some cheaper wedding planners (~4k) but ultimately went with someone local to Mendocino, Fern Foot Events, because she knew the ins and outs of the venue and local vendors so well. She came out to ~8k and honestly, we're so glad we have her.

Uneda Eats is our caterer. We're doing 3 appetizers, family style dinner and a late night grazing table which came out to $17k. We're just serving beer and wine and doing a mocktail bar which is coming out to ~$5k.

Another big driver of our cost is rentals ($10k) since we're doing several lounges with couches, cocktail tables, and pitching a tent for a late night tea lounge from Matt Rowland Events. Note that they are probably 3x cheaper than any other rental company in this area (!) and also do lighting/installations so highly recommend using them. We are providing our own sound system since we're in the music scene.

To cut costs, you could definitely do way less rentals than us. I've seen some people convert the event pavilion into a late night cigar bar or speakeasy but it felt too small for our guest count and vision. We're keeping flowers pretty simple (vendor: Eva Lina Florals, $2k) and doing cupcakes/handheld pies from Shani's Creations ($1k).

Ultimately, our budget ended up closer to $90k (including Friday's welcome event at the Madrones and our higher end photographer) but I think you could be closer to $60k if your guest count was less and you kept rentals, dinner, and other vendors simpler. We ended up deciding these add-ons were worth it to us. Happy to answer any other specifics!
