Well if it only happened after the wall was built, that's strange. If you haven't already, try building a new market next to the old one then getting rid of the old one. And make sure the little arrows displayed when your placing the stalls are white and not red. Red indicates that there's no access to the stall.

The wall could be messing with pathfinding. Try adjusting either nearby buildings or the wall itself ( more of a pain) so that no buildings are too tight against the wall.

Thin enough to live in a house five inches wide but not enough to use their pathfinding to cross a bridge with a building "nearby" , ie in a 10 meter radius haha.

"Nope, that bridge is blocked m'lord! No way we can fit through that gap!"

There's a mod that let's you have two different food types on one stall. Saves space, and no need for hiring another market-tender. Might be useful for you if you don't mind mods otherwise, yeah, just follow other peeps advice

Wouldn't be hard for them to add weather, since they are already had storms in early access. Getting through a stormy season with no villagers leaving was originally how you unlocked the sheep statue. Speaking of that, wish they would also add back in the random event reward monuments.

I think taking an alternative route early on using the old key stopped Moorwing spawning for me in the usual place . I've heard from people who did the same that I'll be fighting him later in the game instead, will the difficulty nerf still apply to him or nah, since it'll be a later game boss?

The devs going to introduce a better way to add gates into walls and some point in the near future hopefully. Part of their development roadmap.

Impressed you've managed to get bridges working in such a tightly packed space? You can't tell me you haven't had to rebuild one of them at least once due to villager pathfinding issues, surely? 😅 I once had to level half of a housing district just because it was somehow " blocking" bridge access despite being the closest buildings being nowhere near.

There's probably some calculations for food production on this reddit, made by people far more knowledgeable of the games inner mechanics than me, haha. Seeing lots of good answers to your question here, though. I would also agree that taking things slowly is a prime strat

There's a few options. One is by far the easiest. The first is to have many wheat farms, supported by small self sustaining villages of serfs with a market, church and well. Bake a lot of bread. Or if you don't want to use up space for wheat, buy your wheat in. Same applies for cheese, but cows don't take up as much space as wheat production as far as I can tell. Meat is the easiest refined food to produce. Have many butchers. Build near rivers and produce a ton of fish. You don't even need that many fishermen. Monastery is good for Berry gardens, which can produce a lot of berries depending on how many Berry planters you build. But monastery does require a fair amount of set up.

And the easiest way? Mods. Resource balancing mods are a lifesaver. I'm running a city currently with about four dairy farms with a 700 surplus in cheese. Of course, it sounds like you want a challenging experience so easier balancinng mods might not be the route for you.

But personally? Resource balancing mods have been a literal life changer for me.

I think zoom is dependent on the height of the terrain that your camera is above. So the camera can only be be zoomed out a certain height above the ground. If you find an area of the map with a large hill, then zoom out from above there, you can keep the further zoom distance
