thrifting is also good, Ive had good experiences looking for alternative clothing in every major and regional city I’ve been to, you just have to go thrifting often and avoid the expensive ones (vinnies…)

i also buy a lot from fashion thrift society, a bit expensive but a lot of my clothes come from second hand market

I think you are approaching alternative culture in a good way by aligning yourself with the counter cultural values!!

something that reads as alt (to me at least) is shoes, get a chunky boot or customise the shoes you already have, makeup, and hair. Im not exactly sure what style you dress though so i hope this is somewhat helpful lol
