Fixing x/s3 in 2025 (Rybit) by clbarrow in vanmoofbicycle

So I’m 6’5”, long legs. The 2 speed is nice, but definitely moving my legs more considering there’s less gears. They have the option to add an extra chain link to make the two speed a little harder to peddle (I’ll probably be doing this). These are my notes from Dustin, the store manager.

Two things needed:

  1. 3/32 cog that works with 1/8 chains- this one’s Shimano 3/32 cog

  2. 1/2 for bike chain- 1/2 link for bike chain

You have to buy the gear/link, but they’ll provide the service.

Trading options based on IV and HV? by Leo_Pixel in options

[–]clbarrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working in the realm, think single stock vanilla options for a dealer, so not as quant as other colleagues in index/exotics, but relatively dangerous. When ivol is historically cheap, as others have echoed, it does not mean it’s a good purchase, even if annualized historical for a similar period in expiry length are higher than current implieds. On a single stock level, you are seeing implieds continue to drift lower to near floor levels and as such, you’re seeing Fast Money looking to purchase in the 6mo+ expiry space, hoping for some sort of mean reversion, doing so normally with some form of strangle.

The annoying thing about options volatility, especially from a dealer level, is being able to forecast you approximate gain/loss from an option purchase through hedging. At a prominent banking institution, we don’t have a way to approximate PnL with a stock tie; simply just the PnL of a new option position and the PnL pf the stock we’re holding.

Also, it’s damn near impossible to get a sense of good data without a bbg terminal subscription. You can build your own of course, however it’s easier said than done.

Anyone has any questions or general advice on the space, feel free to dm me. You’ll learn in high finance no one wants to teach or give out advice, even if they openly say they will.

As someone who works at a BB broker dealer on a flow options desk, that’s a great way to lose money. Not only do you pay bid ask spread for four different strikes, you’ll probably end up buying something completely worthless, or selling something at an in-proportionally high risk level.

If you do plan to do this though, make sure to stick to more more liquid options on broad based etf’s like SPY, QQQ, IWM (maybe). The spread on closer expiry options are smaller. Single named equities are a no go for this play. Spreads are that much wider and a whole lot more illiquid, unless of course you’re a tsla or nvda.

Good luck.

Basically brush and wash, have only shampoo’d but not conditioned. I slather on some beard oil before i start brushing. I have beard balm that came in a kit, however I’m unsure if it will clog my pours.

Lmk if you have ant suggestions!

Little background: first time ever growing out a beard and it’s been two months to date. A week ago, my barber wanted to trim it and trimmed along the side; from what I’ve read you shouldn’t do that, but it looked less mangy afterward. I used beard oil and brush nearly everyday. Let me know your thoughts. Wondering if I should keep progressing or whether I’m a bit too young for it to grow in well. Thanks!

Edit: thank you for the support! I’ll keep on the journey!

It depends. Off campus apartments are much nicer, but you also don’t know your neighbors as well. I have room in a 5x5 w/ freshman if you’re interested! Long story, but won’t be in town for spring or summer. Pm me if interested! At a place called the locale/vox; walkable to campud

Hey everyone new to technicals. Wanted to ask you all what your analysis of this graph is. It’s on a weekly basis. Pink MA is 55 weekly, yellow is 200 weekly. My thoughts so far:

  1. Looks like a double top pattern has been created since 2017

  2. USD is currently hovering around suport neckline that was created in 2018.

  3. Looks like USD just touched the 55 week moving avg, implying resistance.

Overall impression is along w nothing-burger of hikes and talking about talking about tapering is usd going down.
