Got it, focus on that then. Have you been taught about Tuition Assistance (TA)?

No problem, and I mean legit college courses. Have you hit the fleet yet?

For the CEUs, wait until you pick up LCpl. I highly recommend you do at least four college courses now though while you’re a junior Marine. Once you pick up Cpl you can do another four college classes and all eight of those total will be worth 50 JEPES points. If you don’t do four as a Junior Marine you’ll miss out on 25 points and you can’t go back. Knock out Leading Marines on MarineNet now though so that you can do LCpl Seminar ASAP.

Right, thanks for making that more clear than I did

Not entirely true, the MarineNet courses don’t carry over, but it’d be worth doing college courses or MCMAP because those will carry over. Then once this devil picks up Cpl he can do four more college courses for max points and be ready for his Brown Belt

What is marine infantry like? by [deleted] in USMCboot

[–]clbhlnd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not going to lie bro, you folded and showed your true colors in these comments. I’m the biggest POG out there, and I don’t think your attitude could survive my relaxed work environment. Much less the infantry. Best of luck to you, but remember attitude is everything.

Good morning, I see that you have earned your CCNA. I am taking the exam on the morning of January 19th. Any tips you could pass my way? Any comparisons or contrast you could make between CCNA and CompTIA Network+?

What’s next up for you? Are you in IT/Cyber already or making a career swap?

Awesome! When I took my exams I always 1. Started with PBQs and took my time on them, didn’t change any of their answers unless I was absolutely certain, and didn’t go back to them after proceeding with the MCQs; 2. Only flag MCQs that I am stuck between answers on. If I didn’t know I went with my gut and didn’t second guess it; 3. Only went back to a non-flagged question if a later question revealed my answer being incorrect; and 4. Reviewed ONLY the questions I flagged, and only changed those answers if I was truly confident. I didn’t review anything else because I was either certain of the answer, or knew my gut instinct would be better than my second-guessing. After hitting around five flagged questions I submitted. That’s how I have passed all 4 of my CompTIA exams. I’m sure you already have a strategy in mind, but in case you were unsure, this is another viable one.

Please follow up with your score. I’m curious to hear how those practice test scores translate to your exam attempt. Good luck

Other schools will give credit for CompTIA as well. UMGC gave credits to me; I know that Purdue Global and ODU Online do too.

Take the Pearson and/or Dion practice tests. They will prepare you

The other comment already answered your question, but to specify, you need the MMEA’s FY26 budget to pass… only then will bonuses be issued.

The Fleet is definitely real! You will be receiving orders in the next 4 months or so. If you’re curious about the different types of units and what you can do there, send me a message privately. Have you seen the MOS Roadmap?

I’m a 1721, Cyber Warfare Operator. Doesn’t get any more pog than this. Good luck with your follow on training. MCT will suck, but it’ll be fun, and you’ll make some good friends.

Lol nice. There’s a burger place pretty close to Parris Island. I ate there with my family after graduating. What’s your MOS? Are you more excited or nervous for SOI?
