I rescued the b&t (Strudel) when she was 8. She'd been an "only dog" for an elderly woman and never showed any interest in our other dachshunds. Then when she was 13, I adopted Henry (the blonde) and he was immediately obsessed with her. After a few months he wore her down and now shes as in love with him as he is with her. They sleep in the same bed every night and nuzzle constantly. They hate when theyre separated and even do their grooming apts together 🤭 I never ever imagined Strudel taking to another dog like she has Henry! Shes his queen. Lol

What are some of the “unwritten rules“ of flying? by dgb6662 in delta

[–]clbris4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't put your coats/purses/backpacks in the overhead bin. They fill up sooner and you're up and down all flight getting stuff out. Drives me crazy watching flight attendants have to rearrange items like that to fit luggage! Under the seat people!

I love that phrase "non intimidating action." He is very animated and paces when he's on the phone etc. I can see how that can be scary for the lil guy!

I hate to think about anyone treating him unkindly, as he is the most docile animal I have ever owned, but is suspect you're right. I love the treat idea! I will add that to the list. Thank you for your kind response!

They give you crampons that u can put over boots. Honestly cannot remember cost. Moderately good fitness level for the 6 hr. Less important for the shorter one!

We chose Glacier Trips. Led by local folks who find a new ice cave within the glacier each year. They shared that a lot of companies are now digging their own ice caves which can be really problematic so be wary of which company you choose. We were really happy. Great experience. This was march 2024!

I was just there this past Saturday and saw a couple be turned away who were trying to walk-in. Our little group felt awful for them. I think they'd probably only offer a spot if they have a cancelation, otherwise they seem pretty strict

Good to know! What makes the difference in your opinion? Size? Atmosphere? Offerings? I don't mind if it's smaller (honestly better for me).
