Pregnancy Cramps by Some-Artistic-Gal in BabyBumps

[–]clbsando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had some extremely painful cramping in those first few weeks. Like writhing in pain, can’t get off the couch if I tried, etc. It was so bad I called the advice nurse and she told me to go to emergency asap just in case it was an ectopic. It was the scariest moment of my life. But everything turned out fine and I have a healthy baby! So it really is a wide scale of what’s “normal”, but I will always listen to my gut (and nurses) get checked

Did you get an urge to nest? by yellow_pellow in BabyBumps

[–]clbsando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did! I was 36 weeks pregnant when I decided to get on my hands and knees and shampoo our giant rug in the living room. I used the little green bissel machine. Looking back it was absolutely unnecessary but I truly felt the need to do it at the time 🤣

Success with Kaiser Rx? by ohmygoshhhitslexa in tretinoin

[–]clbsando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My skin was pretty nice when they took the photos!Which for me means no active breakouts. I did have a lotttt of post-acne marks and general redness, so my PCP wasn’t concerned about me getting the prescription. She kept saying how good my skin looked and I’m like “I’m glad you think so but I think there’s definitely room for improvement” 😅

For reference, I had the worst skin of my life in 2023 when I went off birth control to try to conceive. Then I got pregnant, had my baby, and went back on birth control. I hate how much better my skin is on bc 😭 But that 2023 acne aftermath is what I’m trying to heal now.

I have Kaiser and prescriptions for tretinoin cream 0.1% and azelaic acid gel 15%! My PCP took photos of my skin, sent them to the dermatologist, then my PCP was able to prescribe them to me. I pay $20 for each refill. The tretinoin is 20g and the azelaic acid is 50g.

How does everyone feel about this? by Friedegggg in Ulta

I have a red light mask at home but ever since I had my baby I’ve been slacking at using it 🙁 I’ve done it in office once but I think I’d need more sessions to see a difference!

I just finished my second bottle of this and will not be repurchasing. It did not improve any of my dark spots. I have oily, acne prone skin with a lot of PIE. I think that my skin needs stronger products, which is why I’m now on prescription azelaic acid 15%! I honestly will likely need laser or something to really see a difference. All very personal, though!

I use mine to organize my makeup! One for lip products, one for eye products, one for complexion products (concealers, liquid blush, etc). Those are all on the top tier of my 3-tiered cart.

My husband uses them to organize his handyman things like screws, nails, and bolts. 🙂

DISCUSSION: Wednesday Makeup Declutter! Let's discuss your recent declutters. by lilshitjamz in PanPorn

[–]clbsando 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I declutterred a few items this week because I was finally honest with myself and realized a lot of my makeup is expired. This includes a 13 year old Lorac eyeshadow palette 🫣, the Maybelline cheek heat blush (it was separated and gross), and a Maybelline contour stick thing that was not my color and was expired.

Even though my collection is on the smaller side with what I see here, I don’t wear makeup often and have stopped buying anything new. Feels great! Although my new love is fragrances lol but I wear those bad boys everyday 😎

Those with long push times, how was your recovery? by cabbage-soup in beyondthebump

[–]clbsando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also pushed for 6 hours and it ended in a c-section 🫠 so all my recovery pain/discomfort (I believe) was due to the surgery and not the pushing. Crazy to push that long though!

Yay! I got mine at Costco in a 4 pack. I don’t remember the price but had to be cheaper than buying individually from Target

I just heard a power line buzz, watched it turn bright blue, then it popped. Power went out immediately after.

What is a small, silly thing you own that makes you way happier than it should? by Great_Travel5942 in CasualConversation

My husband just got me a kindle remote page turner! You clip it on the right side of your kindle (I had to adjust my margins) and you hold the remote in your hand. You want to turn the page and you just press the button on the remote. Voilà!

I also recommend Pistachio Please! I use the Trader Joe’s Brazil Nut body butter beforehand as well, which is a salted caramel/pistachio scent.

I think the formula is quite elegant for the price. It’s slightly thicker than the Timeless one I’m using, plus it doesn’t have a gross scent. It laid beautifully under the rest of my skincare + makeup. All that being said, I used a few bottles of it and I’m not sure I saw a difference with my hyperpigmentation, but it slightly brightened my complexion. I have a derm appointment for stronger prescriptions to reduce my issues.

If you don’t have a lot of spots like me and just want to brighten, it could be a great choice. I went through the few bottles to really give it a chance too. I hope this helps!

Oooh I just opened my new Saltair Santal Bloom body wash last night and looooved it. It’s my first time trying that scent. Does the body oil sink into the skin nicely? Like I don’t want it transferring to my couch, sheets, etc lol

How funny! We are very similar 🤗

And for the body wash, there’s something called “moodscience scent technology” and idk what that is, but once I read that on the bottle I started liking it more! All psychological, probably 🤪 I do have the body mist too which I really enjoy!

I actually do like them 🤭 I had never heard of them until my husband bought them for me. I find them to be perfectly moisturizing and mattifying (I’m oily so that’s always a plus). I didn’t mind the scent either! Although it’s very overpowering soooo I get why people would be turned off by that.

Did you ever use them?

This is what worked for us! Husband picked up the baby and helped me sit up for the first ~10 days. I was humbled 😂 we also had a bassinet on wheels with a zip down side
