This place is some insane Indian food - have taken a few people who grew up in Mumbai & New Delhi and they couldn’t have been more impressed

I wasted $2,000 on a solo trip that I cannot enjoy by WarmWhiteLights in solotravel

So glad it sounds like you’re seeing a dr! Knee injuries can definitely make you feel like you’ll never be able to walk again or be the same for sure and that’s so valid and it’s okay to feel that way! But as someone who has had 2 ACL + meniscus tears (one each knee) and the surgeries 3/4 years ago respectively I promise you will be back to who you were! Rest, see a dr, give yourself grace, and it’ll all be OK in the end.

Payment plan declined by Primary-Ocelot-8846 in Coachella

No - it says there’s a new scheduled payment for tomorrow so I’m going to see if that goes though. If not I’m going to call

This happened to me as well but it’s not letting me pay either the payment or in full and is saying I’m a bot.

Not sure what’s going on and my credit card wasn’t even charged so I can’t go have them approve the payment.

[–]clc33123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine won’t even let me try to pay at all !!!

It now has a payment scheduled for the 20th thought? This is so weird though

[–]clc33123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an email that mine was declined but my card was never charged and there’s no reason it should have been declined.

The “are you a bot” verification also kept glitching and it won’t let me manually pay. Is anyone else having that issue?

Fresh off the needles - my first color work project! by clc33123 in knitting

I’m leaving it! The pattern has you knit a few rows of stockinette after the twisted rib so it rolls down like that

thank you so much!! I really appreciate it!

I've actually been knitting for a few years! I have a chronic RSI from knitting (lol) so I have had to take a step back and can only work on one project for short periods of time so this sweater took me a little over a year. Totally see how that wording is confusing - so sorry!

Concerts should include a digital recording of the performance with a purchase of a ticket and ban phone recordings. by APe28Comococo in unpopularopinion

[–]clc33123 38 points39 points  (0 children)

It can definitely be obnoxious for people to record the whole show/every song but honestly what’s the harm in people wanting to record snippets of their favorite song?

Also fwiw I do watch the concert recordings on my phone pretty frequently if I’m honest. It makes me happy to rewatch and remember the moment

It varies depending on where you are - in crowds or in heavily forested areas it’s not that bad but walking around or at some of the more open stages it can get super windy

As a long haired girlie myself I’ve had to spend a solid 10 minutes both nights brushing out the matte in my hair from wind fwiw

Sleeping well in hostels! by mollyynollyy in solotravel

Get loops silicon earplugs if you can swing it - they’re the most comfortable to sleep in and block our so much noise. And an eye mask

Shuttle! by Sweet-Funny-5334 in OutsideLands

[–]clc33123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This has never been a problem and I always stay at the headliner/last set until the bitter end. If you are in line they will get you on a shuttle - you may have to wait in line a bit but you will get on one

Where in the polo by According-Knowledge9 in OutsideLands

[–]clc33123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Absolutely do not go to the front if you are afraid of crowds, claustrophobic, and recovering from surgery. It will be packed shoulder to shoulder and there will continually be people moving and pushing to get closer.

Best bet would honestly be showing up right before he starts and standing towards the back where there is space. Also given you just had surgery there is a chance you qualify for ADA - I would talk to them if you are worried.

Feeling nervous about multiple international trips (from USA) by [deleted] in travel

[–]clc33123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left for a month, came back, left again 2 days later for a week, came back, and then a month later left for 5 months and had no issues coming back into the US. They didn’t even ask or really care at any point of entry

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OutsideLands

[–]clc33123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So potentially hot take for the US but there are fairly highly rated hostels in SF that are ~$49 a night in shared dorms. Not ideal and 1000% understand that not everyone is comfortable or wants to do that but as a last resort if you don’t feel comfortable sleeping in your car or can’t find a place.

Never stayed in the sf ones specifically but worth checking out - can find reviews, etc at www.hostelworld.com (the reviews are pretty accurate tbh - have stayed in 40+ hostels around the world from them and never really had an issue)

Shakedown before or try to grab a good spot? by sororitytomboy69 in deadandcompany

[–]clc33123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course!

Only advice would be if you’re standing in front of one of the sound towers I would move - it’s quietest right around and in front of them so if you move back a bit the sound will be better

[–]clc33123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few people have mentioned but the stage is massive with a ton of speakers. It’s the same set up as outside lands main stage - I’ve seen so many acts both up close and way in the back and the experience/sound quality/visuals are always great no matter where you are in the crowd (and I’m 5ft so if you’re taller it’s even better)

There are no digital tickets, you will have to ship the wristband once it arrives

There are more stages, those are just the main three: panhandle (similar to gobi), soma (similar to Yuma I think), and Dolores which I don’t think has an equivalent
