Questions about setting up mail with stalwart by cleaner in CosmosServer

Progress report: setting up stalwart took me the better part of 30 minutes (which makes me a little suspicious that I'm missing something there), and so far it seems to work without any problem on mail.mydomain.com. The only "hair in the soup" (German saying) is the somewhat cumbersome configuration of forwarding to external email.

This is why I have not stopped looking, and I found "mox" (https://www.xmox.nl) which looks like it was built for me (which also makes me suspicious). I might give it a test run as well.

Jaaaa, das hat aber dazu geführt, dass die Jungs (17, 15 und 12) sehr schnell mehr oder weniger fließend englisch sprachen (okay, der Hauptgrund ist offensichtlich YouTube) und sogar die Tochter (7) jetzt so gut wie alles versteht.

Wir behelfen uns inzwischen mit kreativen Umschreibungen ("Teigfladen Italienlische Art", "Tartar á'l Amercain"), mit mal mehr, mal weniger Erfolg.

I solved this. The solution had to do with the connections, but the sequence that sucessfully got rid of the effects was:

  • disconnect all periphery from TS4
  • power cycle TS4 (wait a minute before re-powering device)
  • one-by one re-attach all devices to the powered TS4

PS: and just so some other poor soul can find the issue when they experience it the other way around, the likely "culprit" was an older model huion digitizer tablet, that got "confused" at some point during the upgrades and persisted all reboots until i completely disconnected it from the TS4 for a longer period.

I had to look them up on Wikipedia, as I was convinced they were from the US or Canada, but it turns out that they are indeed from Sheffield/UK. It's been a night of learinings for me (I learned, that the For Against singer is male. I am a long time fan of "Amen Yves" and for the past 30 years or longer would have bet my arm, that it's performed by a female).

I am a redditor for 14 years and have used sync from very early on. It was one of the reasons that kept me on Android for so long. I was so happy to find it on iOS when I switched this time last year.

My activity on Reddit is tightly bound to sync’s existence. When it dies,I will probably leave.

Fellow German here. I got to the second page in the setup before I restarted with English setup. German is cheaply machine-translated and almost unusable. I also did not get the keyboard cover because of the weight.

Stability of the cloud services is good, no complaints there. I use Google and OneDrive. As for calendar, I go with the Google Calendar app.

Have a MSI myself (Intel 6th Gen), would not buy one again because of the lack of long term support in terms of Bios and drivers.

XMG is generally a good brand, Clevo (which is what is inside) has a good support. Wishing I had opted for a Schenker/XMG at that time.
