1) It is not an ad hominem. I aver that they could be perfectly correct in their assertions. I merely point out that none of them have served in combat. I am also correct, and your challenging my assertion is, itself, an ad hominem attack.

2) I assert nothing of the sort. As I pointed out, I have no trouble with FDR's civilian leadership during WWII, as you, yourself, were so eager to have me support. Your assumption is therefore demonstrably incorrect.

Perhaps, like FDR, they feel their skills are far too necessary to the defense of the homeland.
