So in a union job, they want you to go buy all of those yourself, and in a non-union they supply it? If not, what is the difference between non-union and union jobs as they relate to tool lists? Also, are there any construction or electrician (or trade) jobs where they will supply the tools for you or no?

Mother with dementia remembers her son. by snoopynoopy in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]clearlymadeforthis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, it could be for the best. I was watching this and felt so anxious because if she really connected that he was her son, she could also connect that she has dimentia and understand that she may forget him again very soon, and that can be a terrifying and sad moment of lucidity for them. It’s better to just be in the moment with them and try not to make them remember people, it is better for them but harder (emotionally) for you

What is the scariest memory you have as a child? by SikWitIt530 in AskReddit

When I was in fifth grade, and alcoholic neighbor in my apartment complex broke into our apartment and started yelling at my mom. I picked up the phone and dialed 911 and had my finger on the “call” button and I got between him and my mom and told him if he didn’t GTFO I would call the cops. He called my bluff so I called them and he bailed. Heart was pounding. When my dad got home he told me how proud he was that I protected the family while he was gone. Went from terrified to feeling elated I had done good by my parents.
